Just think, when vh is eligible for the rock and roll hall of fame there could be a performance from all the singers. I read in a interview with the redrocker that he was not against performing with those guys when they get inducted into the hall of fame. And there is no reason that Cherone wouldnt do it, all that leaves is Roth.

It is given, Dave and Sam will be there. Gary will as well, but I wouldn't be shocked if he didn't show. Quite frankly, I wouldn't blame him. He had a TUFF, TUFF, gig to follow. The best thing for him would be to introduce the band. He was a huge fan, and had a wonderful chance to sing with them. I think that would be kinda cool really. Out.

    Yeah,
I'm about a big a fan of Gary's that you could get, but I don't think that his "tenure" with VH warrants a place in the Hall of Fame. Maybe a footnote It'd be really cool of him to introduce the guys though, and his ego wouldn't prevent him from doin' it.

Dave and Sammy had better both be there, because they deserve to be in the Hall of Fame for reasons too numerous to mention.

Personally I think the rock and roll hall of fame is a joke. Granted many of the bands deserve to be there but also many are only there because they had to fill nominations for a particular year and didn't have anyone decent to choose from. I say if there isn't anyone worth voting in, then don't vote anyone. As far as VH being inducted, it is a given that they will be inducted. Since I think the rock hall of fame is a joke, only gary should show up to sing with the band.

Track5.......That is a very cool ideal having Gary interduce the Band. The guy that does that is always a big fan, and gives a big "from the heart" speech before hand......Gary would be perfect for this role.

the thing with gary introducing vh would be like ignoring the fact that he was part of van halen. even though he wasn't there for long, to me he was still a member. i think that would be a little bit of an injustice to him. a really big fan to introduce them? i'll do it

I don't know how you guys think that is cool. I think it is the biggest slap in the face ever! "Hey Gary fly out to Cleveland and introduce us while we rock and you watch even though you are part of the history"

Well what I was saying sure the fuck wasn't meant as a slap in the face. Hell I posted NOT TO LONG AGO about how I thought he did a hell of a job live, singing THOSE SACRED SONGS. I meant, he should introduce them since he was a small part of the group. Yes, he still was part of the group. Don't kid yourself thinking he was a major part. I just thought that would be a killer way for him to be in the show as it were. Take a chill pill dudes. I didn't come out and say he sucks and stuff. I was giving him his due. DAMN, thats what t5 gets for trying to be cool and shit. Out

    I disagree,
I think that Gary realized that he wasn't accepted by 99% percent of the fans, and that his "place" wasn't going to be in Van Halen. Don't get me wrong, I love Gary's work, even VH3, but it's not VH's highpoint nor his.

I wouldn't be surprised if Gary AND Nuno introduced the guys. It'd be a great way for Gary too show that he's a strong individual and doesn't worry about getting his feelings hurt.

This all depends really if they really are on amicable terms. Gary said they were, and out of all the Van Halen guys, I will only believe him and Mike at face value.

Although I'm damn sure he'd rather induct Aerosmith or Queen any day of the week.

I hear ya T5. Sounds like the words of a realist to me folks. I personally thought Gary did ok with vh. BUT, considering that he only did ONE album that performed terribly in comparison to the other two singers, yeah, I think you could say that his contribution would be considered a footnote to the =VH= legacy. An introduction would be in fine taste and would not make him or anybody else look bad for doing it. It would be "proper"

GirlGoneBad, I don't think it would be a slap in the face to have Gary introduce the band.

He was part of VH, but I can't see him taking the same credit that Dave and Sam can, you know?

Gary's easily got the smallest ego of the three lead singers, but while I could see him doing it, I don't think this would happen.

It would be friggin' cool, though.

Cyclical and shit. Covering all the bases.

Could you imagine peeps faces if this were to happen?

He could talk about his stint in the band, talk about how he was influenced by them, back in the day...

Even though it won't happen, just thinking about how "full circle" it could be is interesting.

track 5 was just thinking out loud. Hot damn, he wasn't making a proclamation or anything.

Keep in mind that this won't even happen for 3 more years. Forget about Gary, will Van Halen be on amicable terms with Dave in three years?

In my opinion all three singers should be there. Gary is a part of the Van Halen history in my opinion, and deserves to be there. If he was to agree to induct them, more power to him for being classy, but odds are that won't happen.

Hopefully he'll get the chance soon. Both of those bands are now eligible, and Queen especially deserves to be in the Hall of Fame NOW. I'm guessing since neither of these two bands were well known until 75-76 this has prohibited them from being inducted at the 25 year point when they are first eligible.

One other note about the Hall of Fame thing. I've been saying 2003 like many others, but 2004 is more likely. The 2003 Hall of Fame will take place in either January or February of 2003 (as they always do) The nominations will take place late in 2002. Since Van Halen's debut album was released in March of 1978, this would technically make them ineligible for the 2003 ceremony, but right on schedule for 2004. I guess
I'll have to settle for the Sex Pistols that year
