Apparently the guys have beeen spotted together in San Francisco at a Widespread Panic show.

Somebody made the g*d d*mn mistake of telling Lars that he's intelligent when he speaks.

Somebody needs to staple his farking mouth shut, PERIOD! Shut up and bang on the drums you hack.....you're no entrepreneur.

Having said that, I've noticed (mainly through interviews, and VH1) that the music/rock business has a way of making friends of people who would seemingly be strange bedfellows.

I'm not referring to the friendship between VH and Lars......just pointing out that if I've learned anything since VH1 changed it's format, it's that these guys listen and actually LIKE each other's music, and wind up building friendships that last forever.

For example, the very fact that the drummer for Guns n' Roses, the biggest band in the world at that time, would run to the K-Mart and buy Megadeth's "Rust in Peace", and then run back to their hotel and insist that the guys from GnR listen to the Megadeth drummer, completely blows my mind.

It doesn't sound like a big deal, but little tidbits like that remind me that although the management of the music business is quite opportunistic and to some degree "fake", the grunts that are crafting the tunes are often all heart.

Also, I'm workin' on a 6-pack of Sierra Nevada, so nobody farking flame me, or I'll be gunnin' for ya tomorrow morning.

Surely they have that Denmark-Holland connection going on, neighbours from Northern Europe.

But someone should interview Lars, he has a trully unique perspective on the whole VH mess.
In the last 6 months, he has hanged with Dave while he was recording his loony DVD, played with Sammy and Mike on stage some old Montrose tunes, and hanged out with Eddie.

This guy might very well be THE most informed fellow on the VH mess on the planet...

Let's see now......hmmmm. I guess Eddie is looking to get some advice on sueing file swapping services? Is looking for advice on how to be the only loudmouth in the band?? Is Eddie looking to "pussify" his music just like Metallica did? Oh wait, Eddie already did that during the Hagar era.
Van Halen without the original 4 is just not Van Halen.

I remember in '96 when VH was getting together with Roth. MTV interviewed some people to get their reactions and Lars said..."I have one word for you, KISS".

He thought that VH was doing it for the money only. He's the one who should have been wearing a cup.

Widespread Panic show eh?

Now if only Eddie got backstage, chatted with Dave Skolls, who hooked him up with Warren Haynes from Govenrment Mule, arranged for Warren to stop by 5150 sometime this Fall after The Summer ABB and Mule tour.....hmmm. Warren Haynes doing some vocals and guitar work on the next VH album.....Now, that my friends would be something! Ahh, we can only hope

Getting advice from Lars? Nothing good can come from that......

Please God, no Van Halen with the London Philharmonic......Metallica & the Scorps both ruined their legacy with those types of gigs......
And Lars making a "Kiss" crack, eluding to doing it for the money.......

I think what Lars meant by the Kiss reference was that a reunited VH tour would generate a lot of interest from fans because it was the original band members going out on tour, and referring to the large amount of money that Kiss pulled in during their '96-97 reunion tour.

I thought that the Scorpions concert with the Orchestra was AWESOME!!!

I agree that the Metallica one wasn't good, but I don't like anything that Metallica does.
