I voted on this list a few weeks ago and put VH1 at the top of my list, figuring that it would be in the final top 100 for sure. I just went through the whole fucking thing to find that there is no VH or Aerosmith but Linkin Park is on there as well as two Eminem albums, a lot of Weezer too much U2 and a ton of Madonna. Not to mention that Nirvana's Nevermind was number 2 on the list, confirming my idea that Nirvana is the most over-rated band of all time. What is the world coming to when legends like Van Halen don't even get on lists like this?

Yeah, if you check out these "reader polls" in popular magazines or on tv (like VH1) you'll see a lot of shit that doesn't make sense.

Remember, folks, we're talking about Rolling Stone readers here. Rolling Stone, for crying out loud! There is no more pompous, self-righteous group in the world than Rolling Stone magazine and its readers. That should already tell you how much credibility the stupid poll is going to have.

Mr. Williams, you are correct sir. Rolling Stone magazine ceased to be relevant (circa 1992) long before Van Halen did (circa 2000)

Yeah, that does duck that VH is not in the Top 100 but it's only an opinion poll. Plus, who knows what type of music the people who voted listen to. The majority probably are M & M fans (not the candy either).

I wouldn't put too much stock in Rolling Stone nowadays, the magazine caters to the flavour of the month, don't they praise Nirvana, and U2??that should say enough.I know Van Halen has been on the cover a few times, but that means nothing to me, this magazine has been getting more and more pathetic over the years.. Rolling Stone hasn't put out anything worth spit in quite some time. They don't cater to music fans, they look for where the buck is. That's why you have punks like M&M and Madonna dominate those lists... Is just the sappy reader base of Rolling Stone. Sure Rolling Stone makes cash, but so do the manufacturers of butt plugs... Fuck RS! Read Blender. You'll see a mention of VH in just about every other issue.

As most of you know, they rated the VH catalog a few months ago. Try it, you might like the mag. MO.

Doesn't suprise me that VH wasn't included. I mean, look at what artists are popular today.
