That's about the only thing that really pissed me off about the Sammy era of VH is that so many kick ass rock and roll anthems were relegated to sound check jams, without vocals by Sammy and probably when he wasn't even there yet, or get loose jams at 5150, once again probably not while Sammy was there. People cut Gary a ton of shit, but he had the bag to sing those songs for us, and not feel insecure about it.

Sorry, I can't answer your question, but it's great to hear that the Ed, Al and Mike still got off on jamming those tunes even though Sammy had no desire to try to sing them and that someone here actually got to hear them at a soundcheck. Sometimes you'll hear some classics and some great covers at soundchecks that will blow away anything you wind up hearing at the show, usually when a band rips on a deep album cut or some off the wall cover that wouldn't normally appeal to the "radio conditioned" audience who are there only for the radio hits and a dose of manlove at the t-shirt booth.

Didn't Mike actually play the keyboard part during the tour because Dave thought people would puke at the sight of Eddie playing keys?

Youre exactly right....I remember that, I also remember seeing Eddie playing a Gibson Les Paul during that song. I saw each tour that followed WACF and never heard that song played again.
