I can't believe these 2 guys are charging $60.00 for the good seats. I don't think most people would even pay the $20.00 for the lawn seats. They better have one hell of a show to ask for that kind of coin.
Anybody here willing to pay that much? I'll be first on the puter this weekend getting mine, and as close to the front as I can get, but I'll be pissed about it!!(lol)

That's not terribly out of line compared to what other tours are charging.

True. But the acts charging that much (U2 etc...)
are pretty popular right now. Dave hasn't had a successful solo tour for quite a while, and SAm hasn't exactly burned up the 10,000 seat arenas.
I dont know, i can see them getting away with it if they were huge right now... We'll see.

If I had never seen Dave before, I'd pay that much. I'm not trying to rub it in or anything to those who haven't seen Dave, but I've seen him twice solo, doing the all-VH act, and there's no way I'd pay even $30 to see it again. I want the real thing, Van HALEN, which of course isn't happening.

$60 sounds pretty cheap to me. Think of it as getting two concerts in one show. $30 bucks a pop.

Not unrealistic in this day and age!!!

I'd pay it!!

Found this with a websearch:

"U2's "Elevation" tour, the highest-grossing act of the first half with ticket sales of $69 million, boasted an average ticket price of $76.18. Some U2 tickets sold for as high as $130. "

$60 for prime seats is pretty cheap these days - I don't think you'll see too many shed tours this summer with significantly lower prices.

But that's comparing apples to oranges. You're talking about a world-famous band that had a new album to tour on and was going strong as ever. These are two former VH singers going solo with unheard-of back-up bands, retreading the past, pretty much selling out.

Better get used to it. In 2017 an average good seat will cost $130, I predict.

I didn't start it Someone said that was what U2 were charging, but the reality is that average tix. for U2 were more than prime tix. for this show.

I don't think they'll have problems selling tickets at those prices. $60 is probably just the front 10 rows and the scalpers get those directly anyway.

Where did you get the $60 figure? Couldn't that just be for one venue? I'm wondering how much control the location has over ticket prices - obviously the band sets a baseline, but you'd imagine some places might jack up the prices to increase their "cut" of the take by increasing the entire take overall.

I'd pay $60 to see the midget get it on with one of those cat women.
Better use it up before it gets old!

I don't see paying $60 to be a problem. Those guys have to get paid somehow. I wasn't surprised by the least to see a ticket price for that much. Still cheaper then U2.

But you're getting 2 oranges for the price of 1 apple!!
2 concerts in one package!

Personally, I don't really care for U2 and would not pay $20. to see them.
Even though this isn't Van Halen, it is 2 major pieces of what made VH for the better part of 20+ years. Since that's what I'm into, I'd pay the $60. to see them.

Closest to me is Cleveland, but I wish it wasn't so soon and the first date on the tour!
Of course, it could also end up being the last!!
