I'm pretty shocked that Doc Holliday lost to Lt. Kilgore...by one vote, but nonetheless...much as I love Kilgore, I thought Doc was a shoe-in.
Also surprising was the Bride doing as well as she did against Neo, and Bourne triumphing over Wick. Butch over Sundance was a bit surprising...he is the gunslinger after all, but that's how charming Paul Newman is, I get it. Jack Torrance suffered a brutal beating from Quint, as did Ethan Hunt from Dutch. Equally intriguing was Jack Walsh trouncing Cobra, and Foley trumping Brigman. I know, everybody and their mother has seen Beverly Hills Cop, but gosh, you guys that haven't seen the Abyss...check it out stat. Really.

Anyway...have at it, round two. Don't forget the new Wild Card mini-bracket. Voting for this round ends Friday 5/29 at 9 pm. Some tough choices in here.

Bond isnít going to get my vote for the final, but thereís a decision coming soon on probably my top two that Iím going to have a hard time choosing between

I think they were relating to TV and movies Batman, and Connery saw too much trim to compete with that

Which reminds me Iím surprised Jack Kates from 48 hrs didnít make it on the list (of course thereís always critics )

Right? Bourne beating Wick? That one seemed like a no brainer.

And yeah, Swan vs. McCloud is rough. I almost didn't wanna match 'em, I hate seeing either bow out early. But I wanted to wild card two epics and two B flicks.

I seriously considered adding a 'buddy' bracket with infamous onscreen pairs like Cates/Reggie, Riggs/Murtaugh, Bonnie and Clyde, etc. But I didn't.

Well, definitely, TV and screen Batmen vs. Connery Bond, there's no question which would be preferable lol.

but in the books...Bats is like a galactic savior much of the time with the Justice League, and he bonks boots with WW, Catwoman, Black Canary, and a litany of Gotham socialites, plus he's a jillionaire and has a vast arsenal at his command, so...all good there. The Bat movies guys are near celibate weirdos.

So...are you just not voting in certain matchups because you haven't seen the flicks, or because you don't want to choose?

Oh, well, if there are personal stories about it, understood.

but yes, if you can someday, Gladiator would be one to try again.

I love the idea of a dynamic duo bracket breakdown after this

This is fun. I totally agree, in the books Batman is hands down the choice of for no other reason than the dalliances with WW and Catwoman, thatís epic. I mean banging a woman named Pussy is legendary, but taming the Amazon, thatís unmatched

Word. Hooking up with Diana...doesn't get much more stellar than that. I always found it offputting that Clark ends up with Lois all the time, when he clearly ought to be shaking the rafters with Wonder Woman. In Miller's Dark Knight series, and Waid's Kingdom Come series, he does exactly that, having super babies and everything.

A cinema duo tourney is a good idea, yes.
