Same Doug Ford. Nothing has changed per what he wants to do outside of the pandemic. If all that ended tomorrow, we would just be returning to our regularly scheduled program of the Doug Ford shit show that made Scheer make the decision that he did.

Ford stepping up during the pandemic isn't going to change what people think of the piss poor job he is doing with education, healthcare and of all things license plates. He could even get THAT right.

no, it will change and it has changed. It's funny how politics works. If you're a star at the most important time they tend to overlook you not being a star at other times. He didn't do a good job on education, issue with the teacher contracts (I am personally very aware of this). Will it matter? Nope. Deals have all been struck and no one really cares anymore - more important shit to worry about. They certainly won't remember at election time. Health care? He hasn't done much of anything on that file. License plates? Who gives a fuck? They'll issue new plates. Big deal. People have an impression of him now and it's a whole lot better than what it was. Does it mean he wins next time out? I don't know. Tell me how the new liberal leader does with the public. I know Steven pretty well, a good man. But not someone who's gonna excite voters. Hell he couldn't hold on to our super safe riding last election. As for federal politics, well the Conservatives couldn't do much worse than the last stiff they ran out there (who still got more votes than Trudeau did)

Somebody seems awfully familiar, and he shows up just when Cabo Chris comes back.

    Hmmm.
If I don't respond to you it means I have you on ignore, which means you are a douchenozzle.

I am not denying that Ford isn't having a moment in the sun, but again that won't negate or make people forget the reasons why they have hated him otherwise when the focus is no longer on the pandemic. The huge problems with healthcare and education among other things haven't gone away.

The reasons for this still exist and this is conservative media. Even they couldn't spin it.

I agree with you about the new Liberal leader. He isn't what the party really needed and won't excite people.

In fact, ideally they should be called Vancouver Rolls.

Of course too late now Chef Tojo should have trademarked a name for his creation at the time but the immediate popularity took off so quickly.

Here's what I don't get....( or maybe I do actually)....

    http://globalnews.ca/news/7012341/ca...acism-protest/

Why are there protesters in Alberta?????

Let me take a guess.....Jumping on the bandwagon!!!####

WTF is their purpose??? Who do they think they are???

Do they have any bearing on reality as to how lucky they are to live in Canada???

They have no idea how sheltered & protected they are living here in Canada!!

WTF right do they think they have concerning themselves with this news from the USA.

Are they protesting in New Zealand or Finland.

They have no right it's none of their business.

There's no black rasicm in Canada. None.

The rasicm in Canada is predominantly against Asians & East Indians. Because they actually work for a living & invest their money into property sticking together as families. Which the Joe Blow Johnny Lunchbox white bread union yahoos seem to resent.

But theres no black racism. None. At all.

Freaking ridiculous. They just wanna rage against the machine but have no local incident to rise up against so yeah lets march in the streets to protest an incident from another country.

I'm guessing a strong odor of skunk permeates the air while Bob Marley music is blasting from the ghetto blasters.

    Freaking White Bread suburban pansey's

See- Now here's an example of how much attention a criminal's death in custody gets in Canada.

    https://bc.ctvnews.ca/police-watchdo...eath-1.4961915

    Or at least in BC....

    Absolutley NONE!!!

    Criminal steals car

    Criminal caught

    Criminal dead

    End of story.

No hoopla or public outrage barely even noticed just another randon news clipping.

100% correct. However, since then, Scheer lost as he ran an abysmal election. Doug has grown immensely in popularity due to his handling of COVID in the province. It's since COVID the whispers are happening. Again - I don't think he'd win, but just the rumblings I'm being told are out there.

See- nobody responds to this news posting because its overshadowed by other police death in custody cases....

The internet pundits can only handle one at a time....

OR- Maybe It's because this one wasn't black....
