Apocalypse Now easily in my top five films. A true magnum opus. Literally imminently rewatchable, and the redux cut makes it even better, to me.

That river still gets me, with all its horror.

I am regretting not putting in Maximus Decimus Meridius, of Gladiator Russell Crowe fame, in the poll. I wonder if it's too late. Perhaps I will add him in the next round as a BYE wild card. Yes, I'll do that. Along with one other late entry, to balance it out evenly. I am open to suggestions.

Well, shit. I just now noticed I picked Conan over the Man with No Name. WTF was I thinking? I love both characters, but should've gone with Clint. Honestly, I didnt even notice that was who was up against Conan. I just saw Conan, and since that is probably my all time favorite "sword and sorcery" movie I went with Arnie. But Clint and Sergio's trilogy is the greatest character in the history of Westerns. Damn. That's what I get for not paying close enough attention.

No, that's my fault. I accidentally put Frank Dux of Bloodsport in, then edited it as you were posting 'cuz I realized I'd forgotten one of the obvious omissions. You can change your vote, I'll note it in the tally.

Redux is amazing. And the Wagner's Ride Of The Valkyries scene is the very meaning of epic.

It's still amazing to me that Sheen had a heart attack during filming. And that Laurence Fishburne was only 17 when cast.

Oh that's right, Frank Dux. Now I remember seeing him up against Conan. I'm losing it. But, yeah, gotta go with Clint.

Side note, Bloodsport is Mrs JD's all time favorite movie.

LOL, I mean, I def dig Bloodsport, it's a classic.

but as you astutely noted....the Sergio Leone trilogy is literally the best Western ever put to screen.

And Ford was just starting out lol.

That end river encampment with the bridge, while Lance is on acid with the puppy following Willard through decimated and demoralized trenches...soldiers trying to get on the boat in the dark...fucking harrowing.

Lol, should've had Van Damme up against Seagal. In high school, everybody used to argue who was better between the two.

I was expecting Jason Voorhees vs. Michael Meyers. lol

I LOVE Robert Ludlum and Jason Bourne was his greatest character and series, but man, John Wick is way too badass. Keanu's best character, surprised he's losing.
