Default Gregg Bissionette Modern Drummer Interview

Brand new Modern Drummer Interview with Gregg Bissionette recently uploaded May 15 2020.

Fast forward to the 35 minute mark to hear him comment about his first DLR tour in 1986.

You can see by the way he talks how he was definetly compatible with DLR in more ways than one. Holy cow- the energy & excitement exhuding is contagious. If I didn't know better I'd think he was hopped up on blow or something. You'll see what I mean if you watch the video.

Here's the Detroit Cobo Hall 86 drum solo he talked about....

Wow, can you imagine trying to have a conversation with him and David Lee Roth together?!

Not enough air in the room, and that is when they are SOBER!

Now, imagine those two, on tour in 1986, all hopped up on coke.
If I don't respond to you it means I have you on ignore, which means you are a douchenozzle.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

Seems like a great guy in every interview I've ever seen or read of him, besides being a great drummer.

Greg and Matt went to my highschool. I think one of them graduated with my sister. they have big pictures of them around the band area (they are high school photo's so I believe they were big shots back then). I've always liked his playing. the records he played on with Dave are great. I also believe he played on one of my all time favorite songs Friends by Joe Satriani.
