STYX is most definitely the B team. I'd actually say D league on that one.

Lol, yep. Can't stand those guys. Well, it's mostly Dennis DeYoung and his whiny ass voice. There's actually several here I dont really like. REO Speedwagon , Bruce Springsteen sucks, Yes(again mainly because of Jon Anderson's whiny ass voice).

Styx is definitely a B Team.

I think the OG poster means, in terms of A and B and C teams, not the usual hard rock gods, metal guys, or standard go-to outfits that usually comprise this board's general tastes.

And thank gods for that. Christ, how many times can we laud Zep, VH, Aero, Rush, and all the rest of the stock replies said a billion times before. It's nice to have a breath of fresh air.

Of course outfits like the Doors, the Police, Prince, the Boss, and Petty aren't C list outfits. But it's good they're there, because none of these choices would last long against Sabbath or Metallica or the Stones or Motley Crue. Not at the Links anyway.

Me, I"m actually shocked so far that the Pretenders are blowing doors on the Kinks. The Kinks! At least one third or more of the signature VH sound. Crazy.

Poor Men at Work. I would hazard a guess that not many folks here know a lot of Dire Straits/Knopfler intimately, outside of Money for Nothing, but..I guess there's even more disdain for Colin Hay. Ha. Interesting. I liked Men at Work myself, but Foreigner 4 is a seminal album. And who'da thunk that the Ramones had so little love here. I picked Foreigner too, but gosh...what a blowout. And lastly...is there really that small of respect for fuckin' Cheap Trick? Petty over CT? Oof.

The only song I ever liked by him was I'm On Fire. LMAO, it's always so absurd when people start lauding what an incredible classic Born To Run is. Shitty music, shitty song, shitty singer. I cant over state just how much I despise that song.

Seriously Bill. It’s maybe the best live record I’ve ever heard, right up there with Blood Red Sky and Budokan.
