I've been very lucky to have amassed a nice collection Here goes:

2013 Gibson Les Paul Traditional, 1974 Gibson Les Paul Custom Alpine White (RR), 2009 Gibson Explorer, 1993 EBMM EVH model, 2018 EVH Wolfgang Special, Kramer 5150 aged replica made by an esteemed builder here, 1982 Fender Stratocaster '57 reissue that was my dad's, 1980 Fender Telecaster, 2008 Godin Muiltiac Grand Concert Duet. I just sold a 2004 Gibson SG Standard that will make way for another Gibson. Enough fun for a lifetime, as Joe B. says

Indeed. I was hoping to get one of the 60th Anniversary 59’s this summer but with the onset of the pandemic, the belt is a bit tight.

I hear ya! I don't think you can go wrong with anything post-2013. As long as you get Custom Buckers, aniline dye & hide glue, those are the biggies to me I specifically wanted a 2013, as that was the year they righted the ship with the Historics.

Agreed on everything but the pickups. If I get me a proper Gibson Custom Shop, I'm immediately throwing a set of Throbaks in it and putting the Buckers in the case. I have a set now in a cheap (but well made) Chinese Les Paul style guitar with a vintage spec wiring harness (oil in paper caps, centralab pots) and the thing sounds phenomenal. All the bloom, honk and vintage PAF tone you could want in a $350 guitar.

Those CustomBuckers, to my ears, sound great for what they are but they simply don't sound like they do what PAF's do. In every demo of the 60th Anniversary's I've seen, the guitars are gorgeous but the pickups just sound wrong to me. They're a bit abrasive when turned up, some actually sound quite thin (not Tele thin, but just anorexic thin) and they don't have the clarity of a vintage PAF clone, to me.

The best sounding 59 "Reissue" I've heard is when they did the run of Pearly's in 09'. That guitar literally sounded like a 1959 and got pretty damn close to Pearly.

I get that. I have noticed that the '19 CB's do sound different, possibly bc they aren't potted anymore. The set I have from 2013 is potted, and sound amazing to me. That said, I've never tried Throbaks, so can't really made the comparison myself. The good thing is, if you swap the pickups, you can probably sell the CB's for upwards of $400. They are rather sought after. Good luck on the search, and keep me apprised

    Will do!

I’d highly recommend the Throbak’s if you are ever so inclined. A bit pricey but such a quality product.

I have a few parts on order from the Stratosphere coming (bought them for my bday) on a Standard I picked up a few days ago. I’ll post some pick and give a review once the parts arrive and I throw it together.
Here is the Wolfgang Standard so far:

I'll have to check out some videos. I do have a set of boutique hum buckers in my Traditional. They're PAF inspired and made by a guy in Edmonton. The company is Sigil Pickups, and I have a prototype set of his Bluesman series. They're phenomenal!

As I wrote on social media, who needs to relic a guitar when you're stuck at home for two months?
