They won't do it for the fans, if the past is any indication.
They won't do it for their legacy, they don't care about that either.
    They don't need the money.

But they might do it for one thing.

    For charity.

I could see them doing something with all profits going to the victims of the virus. They've done charities before. We would then be the indirect beneficiaries of that goodwill.

Haha! Devin is faaaaaar from a millionaire. Not even close. At his best, he pulls in about $50k a year, and that's only during touring years. This last year he wanted to make the album he always wanted to make and the label wouldn't help, so he ended up spending over $200,000 of his own money (made up of savings, loans, etc.). He started 2019 $200,000 plus in the hole. He's been touring constantly to try and get back to normal. He had to start out doing acoustic only until he could afford to hire a band. He toured Europe with a band and made a little money, but not enough to pay for the same band to play with him in the states. When it was time to tour North America, he realized that even if he sold out every show and sold out merch, he'd still end up losing...LOSING...another $50k, but canceling would have been a bigger issue in the long run. Then, the virus shit happened and couldn't even complete the tour, so he ended up about $100k in the hole.

That's why there is a gofundme page. He lost his job. His fans want him to continue making music, so they are more than happy to donate.

The millionaire thing was funny, though. Thanks for the laugh.

    Default Hey Ed, Al, Wolf....

Iím pretty confident he makes more than 50K a year. What a dick.

There are people who have lost their jobs making 30K year and theyíre not begging for money on go fund me. Fuck that guy.

He has a net worth listed at $2 million. He should have enough money to survive a few months without touring. Give me a fucking break. I seriously doubt his family is going to be homeless on the streets if he canít tour for a few months. Letís see the mansion he lives in.

If heís so desperate I guess he should try to try to get a job at a gas station or at Walmart. You know do what normal people do...work!!

People gave $78,000 to that jerk so far. Iím shocked, but then again not really.

That net worth thing is not even close. Not even close. Trust me. As an artist, he earns more than $50k a year, of course. But he takes home $50k. Everything above that goes back into the business. And again, he only really earns when he tours. Everything he does he pays for. His label is basically there to handle legal issues and distribution.

There's nothing wrong with asking people to help out financially, especially when you're on the verge of losing everything. It's a hell of a lot better than asking for government assistance. Fans want him to continue, so I really don't see a problem. We're talking about consenting adults here. In return, he's releasing new content almost daily, doing live streams, classes, all kinds of shit.

I don't see any issues with it. People want to help, let them help. That net worth thing is hoot, though. I know the guy, his family, his friends, and people he works with. He is nowhere near worth $2 million. That is laughable.

Well- The initial first post is directed towards the wrong people....

David is the one who posted the 1978 Parachute footage from Anahiem Stadium in his Roth Show a few years back.....

Years ago- David posted snippets of pro shot live 1984 Tour audio on his old website...as well as a few previously unknown tunes....Gentleman Of Leisure...& a couple others...( ???)

You really think Wolf is the one to ask to post old VH from 1981.....hahaha.....

You'd be lucky if he posted a baby picture of himself. Most likely with his uncle. Patrick Bertinelli or one of those dorks.

Damn good idea though- Perfectly reasonable request. I've noticed several other artists on the little Ultimate Classic Rock website stories....

Metallica are uploading a full live show each week...

Joan Jett uploaded an old 1981 show

Bob Dylan just uploaded a previously unheard nee song...& it's 15 minutes long....I'm going to listen tonight.

I'm sure theres several others....but yeah....VH do something cool & unexpected....that would honestly blow my mind...big time.

EVH is selfish & ignorant when it comes to anything extra so far as old studio outakes & live stuff.

    Bummer.
