Forgot that Too Hot to Handle is a cool song. Now Balls to the Wall. Nice lineup but where's the VH?

Fun trivia - anyone remember when Balls to the Wall was played after the warm-up but before VH? For some reason, I remember this on two separate concerts...'83 or '84?

I bought a car last year that already had sirius radio, I had it for about 3 months then it was shut off. They kept calling me and I told them I wasn't interested, then they offered it to me for $5.99 a month for a year, so I got it. I mainly listen to HairNation, that takes me back to my high school days...also they play a lot of David Lee

I'm about to email these guys and say more Van Halen please!
That was my take as well. Kind of a look back with perhaps other bands who grew up listening to classic VH.

Had to do a Home Depot run and heard Tora / Tora Loss of Control, then a Megadeth song I think. No thanks.

I love my sirius radio! At least twice a year a take a 10 1/2 hr road trip and I listen to sirius most of the time. It helps pass the time more quickly and it helps keep me awake!

If I can get some kind of an ala carte deal, I'll probably re-up. If you do a google search about Sirius and their subscriptions, you'll find a lot where people tell you to haggle with them about a month before your sub runs out. Inform them that you will not be paying the full price, so to cancel your sub, when your time is up. They will most likely shoot you a deal. Keep saying no till you hear numbers you like. If you don't hear those numbers, hang up and call back. You will probably get another customer service agent. You have to be prepared to actually let your sub, expire though. Within two months you will be getting emails asking you to come back. Rinse , repeat with them on what you are willing to pay. They want subscribers.

i've been with them since 2005 or so. i've always had the highest package cus i want Stern and NFL along with all the music. i was grandfathered in on a really great price for ever. $100 ish a year. then i bought a new stereo for my 4Runner and got an XM based stereo. Best Buy dudes messed up, thought it was Sirius based. Ever since then i'm not on the original good deal, so they send me a bill via email for almost $200 per year. i call them, tell them i'll quit, they always go back down to the $100. they are all about how many subscriber's they have. just haggle. worst case they'll let you quit, then send u something to get u back in. hope this helps !!

What he said....Just haggle and they'll give you a far better price...I've had Sirius/XM since it was just Sirius....2002 I believe. I've always gotten it as part of my Dish Network satellite package and in my wife's car.

Over the years we've managed to get the car package for about $50 bucks per year....

That said, I too was a bit disappointed in the Van Halen feature yesterday. Too many other artists mixed in. They should have simply played the album in its entirety with some tasty and insightful discussion in between tracks. Like a two hour show....45 minutes of music with another 50 or so of discussion.

For instance the Michael Anthony discussion about Ed using the Wurlizer piano through about 6 Marshall's on 'Cradle was cool. Other Sirius channels do such things or at least used to. I do know Sirius has gone through some personnel and program changes in the past several months. For example the Jam Band channel is not nearly as good as it used to be and doesn't have the same DJ's...So it goes with Sirius/XM.

$100.00 for a year is a sweet deal for All Access. I paid about $155.00. I would probably re-up for that price even though I only listen to about 5 stations on a regular basis.

This is exactly what I'm going to do Monday morning. I am currently paying way too much, especially now that I'm mostly working at home due to the CV. If they don't lower my monthly rate, I will quit and then wait until they start inundating me with much better offers than I am paying right now to rejoin.

I heard EWS live (Toyko Dome) yesterday which was cool, but a couple weeks ago...a shortened version of HFT?

So weird! The solo was shorter and everything after was condensed. Anyone else ever hear that?
