I think you have to throw it into the conversation of greatest VH songs of all-time.

There was a review of the song that stated (paraphrased) that DLR was the old pair of jeans that you haven't worn in years for Van Halen. Yeah, they were frayed and had some holes and tears in them, but they just fit like no other pair, and no other pair ever will.

At the time I thought that was a good analogy.
If I don't respond to you it means I have you on ignore, which means you are a douchenozzle.

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

Surprisingly, thatís not why. Iíve grown to appreciate MWM.

I just think itís an amazing button on a body of work that spanned spanned two decades, pretty much. The last CVH song. And if anybody asked me to play em a VH song, Iíd play that one.

Itís all subjective though, I know this. Itís tough going up against a back catalogue like the original 6-pack. On Fire, Simple Rhyme, Drop Dead Legs, Girl Gone Bad, Push Comes To Shove. Those all are all in the conversation for best song, as well. In my opinion.

VS, put Hot for Teacher on his list. How Kylie Jenner of him.

Top 5 mostly static...next 5, varies year to year give or take 1-2....

    In a Simple Rhyme
    Hear About it Later
    Push Comes to Shove
    Mean Street
    On Fire
    Girl Gone Bad
    Hot for Teacher
    Mine all Mine
    Little Guitars
    Me Wise Magic

Yeah, it just barely makes it. Though some years The Full Bug or Humans Being edges it out.
I absolutely agree with you on In A Simple Rhyme, Hear About It Later, Mean Street, On Fire and Girl Gone Bad as all-time top 10 VH tunes. I would round out my list with I'm The One, Feel Your Love Tonight, Light Up The Sky, Everybody Wants Some!! and Romeo Delight.

Youíre such a whore for FYLT and RD.

Itís not a popular opinion, but I think RD is a little overrated.

    I like Fools much better.

Actually, I think Fools might be their most underrated track. That and AFU.

FYLT is the epitome of melodic hard rock. Killer riff with amazing lead and backup vocals.

Romeo Delight just flat out rocks. And that breakdown.

Fools and AFU are both underrated, top shelf VH.
