Lol! Dirty Movies! Still can’t believe they finally played it.
I think the OP is wanting to find the best versions of each song they performed during these tours. At least that's how I interpreted it.

"Dirty Movies", In A Simple Rhyme, DDL, and LUTS were all long overdue. Awesome to finally see and hear those live. LUTS for the first time since, what, 1980, and the rest the first time ever. Great stuff. Well, first time for Rhyme since probably 76 or 77.

Hang 'Em High was only played twice in 2012: Boston & Washington DC.

The Boston one was the first time it had been played in 29 years. Ed nailed it, but Dave fucked off lyrically. The DC performance as a whole was better.

I think for the Boston performance they didn't let DLR know until right before the show. He was out there with a lyric sheet on the drum riser reading from it if memory serves.

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

Yep. Darrin said that Al ran it by Dave earlier in the day and Dave not really paying attention said sure. Darrin said Al had a good laugh over it. Dave seemed to be a good sport about it, and they did play it again lol.

Dave's best show vocally in 2015 was probably 9/30 in Chula Vista, CA. He dropped the high stuff for the most part and sounded like he should.

I was at both MSG shows in 2012. VH changed the opener to Unchained on the second night at the Garden. Up till then it was YRGM. It was truly one of the most powerful moments of any VH show I have been to. The energy it created was awesome. You can hear it on the video.

Yep, I remember how awesome it was seeing the vids of it go up on YT. Sounded like the roof was going to blow off. They had opened all of 07-08 with YRGM, so it was kind of a bummer they had done the first two weeks of the '12 tour with YRGM as the opener. I think the band was as amped up as the crowd to change the opener to Unchained.

Pretty sure the Dave screw up in Panama was San Diego 2007. A classic moment where Wolf whispers in Dave's ear to get him back on track. That's maybe my favorite bootleg video of all, shot by Van Diego Dave or something like that. Front row center HD footage - extreme close ups and super quality. Haven't watched it in years, but it's a great one.

Are you trying to make a video or audio compilation?

Great thread! Personally I'd like to make an audio compilation of the best songs/versions from YT or elsewhere. If anyone has any other recommendations, it is always appreciated!

That stretch in 2008 when Ed came back out of rehab and was heavier (and healthier) and Dave was still in that prove it stage was an incredible stretch of shows. Ed looked happy (genuinely) and Dave was on fire. Al was always great...

I'll put that leg of shows up against anything post 1992. If you look at some of those January 2008 shows (Vegas in particular) Ed is almost 2004 bad. You could see Dave trying to carry the show by himself. it was sad. Then Ed came back and was ROARING.
