Anyone planning to give it a watch? Since my area of the country is NBA and NHL less I will be tuned in. I guess I will root for DC with a Baltimore flare. I wish Vinny luck but the odds are against him.

If I'm home when it's on I'll tune in.
The only genre I really know is Van Halen.

I'm going to give it a watch. I'm from KY and have family in Los Angeles, so, I'll pull for the Wildcats.

Just flipped past a kickoff. Really interesting idea. Not sure if thatís every kickoff - kicked from the normal spot but everyone else was down on the receiving teamís end of the field. Nobody moved until ball was caught. Really interesting idea to keep kickoff returns in but cut down on the speed of collisions.

Only issue I see is on-sides.

Anyone hear any more about what theyíre doing there?

I've watched the entire second half and every kickoff was like that.

I think its smart, keeps the kickoff in the game but reduces the injury risk that having guys sprinting 60 yards downfield and running into each other creates.

Watched the first game, enjoyed it way more than I expected. They have some pretty good tv deals which could really help them make it through to a second season. I definitely see the NFL stealing some ideas, they took the sky cam from the previous XFL.

Oddly, I only saw a TD and kickoff. The kickoff was as you described, but the kick didn't go "far enough", so the receiving team got the ball on the kicking teams 45 yard line! It was weird because nobody moved while the ball was in the air, and then it landed on the field and STILL nobody moved.

I'm conflicted on the in-game player interviews. The players don't seem ready for it and just spout off cliches.

I'm actually liking this XFL thing.

The quality of play is better than I remember from the first XFL, I like some of the things they're doing like listening to the coaches call in the plays and listening to the replay official explain what he's seeing and why he's making the call he's making and relaying to the field.

I think it might have a chance to make it to a second season.

I like the kickoffs. Not sold on the sharing of plays and sideline interviews. Like the shorter play clock. Steve Levy is an very good play by play guy. Let's see how attendance is after this week. I'd go if they had a team in Baltimore.

Caught the first half of the DC game. Show, is right. Everything is a million times better than the previous incarnation. Good quality football.

I like the idea of hearing coaches and players but they need to work on that. A lot of time you had the coaches, players and announcers talking at once.

Yeah, the idea is good, they just need to work on the execution because at times it sounded like political radio talk where they're all talking over each other at once.

I'll tune in again today for the games when I'm home.

The test with these leagues is always football fatigue. When the NCAA tourney starts, will anyone care about these games? When the Masters is on, will anyone care? So forth and so on. It's out of season, I think it would do better business being in the fall and playing all their league games on a Tuesday or Wednesday night. The sports calendar turns, and people lose interest in football simply because it's time for the NCAA, NBA, NHL, etc.

    Just my $0.02.
