If my Father was dying or sick... and Iím not saying Ed is but the fact is we have zero idea what the fuck is going on with Edís health and I have to assume that we know a hell of a lot less than what DLR might know so odds are something might be up.

If my Father was dying or sick, the last thing Iíd give a shit about is releasing an album or doing anything for anybody other than him.

Let somebody make comments about how long itís taken me to complete something.

Come a bit closer and say it again...

People we love get sick, but life does not stop.

If one of our parents were diagnosed with something, we'd still have to go
to work and do all the daily stuff that is part of our existence.

I'm sure the ill person would want some feeling of normalcy, instead of
    folks just hovering over them.

Ed's going to shows and taking pictures with the dog.

Wolf could put out his album AND still be with family.

    I dunno, just my take.

I completely agree with this. The problem is that it is not normal for Wolf to release music. He's done it, what, once in his life? Twice?

As to the videos and "progress reports" as he was creating the music, I think he probably just got caught up in the fun of creating. I'd imagine he was having a great time, liked what he was doing and wanted to share about it. But then, as time went by, the thrill wore off and other things came up.

I'm split 50/50 on whether I want him to release it or not. It'd be a fun thing to talk about (like we are now) if he NEVER released it, but it'd also be nice to hear it. It's a win win!

I won’t even try to guess when his album will be released.

Wolf is VERY wealthy. All the normal everyday/every-man things we do with a sick family member don't apply to Wolf.

Of course he could. But he probably doesnít give nearly as many shits about it being released as you and a lot of people here do.

Great post. I don't care one way or the other if he ever releases his music. But whatever Ed's situation is - he's not on life support tied to machine's. We've seen him at car dealerships, and Tool concerts in the last few months. And it's not like Wolf was planning a world tour. I don't think Ed's health has anything to do with Wolf's album. As another poster commented, it's probably more to do with the fact that his style of music has an extremely limited market.

I've said it a million times, but playing bass for Mark Tremonti was the perfect situation for him (on paper). 2 extremely talented musicians starting over after being in 2 highly successful bands. Similar influences... Both very down to earth type personalities... No drug issues... Built in fanbase... Can just do limited club tours whenever they feel like it. Wolf would not have the added pressure of trying to be a front man since Mark can do that...

    Oh well...

I believe it will be out this year but besides family stuff the reception by the industry I think has been less than he hoped. On the personal front it is hard to promote a record and avoid tons of questions about his dad. Not sure how you do promotion and avoid those so until Edward is ready for his story to be told it is a challenge for Wolf to tell his. Given no real economic incentive either way the wait makes sense even if fans do not like it. Statistically he will live half his life without his dad, his dad was drunk for a large part of his early years. No way can I fault him for making that a priority.

    I'm not following your logic.

Supposedly, i care more about an album he actually spent years writing & recording.

But he doesn't care about that stuff.

    Yeah, i agree.

I always felt he should attach thing thing more to the Tremonti angle, than the VH one.

My guess, is Wolf's music is more in line with Mark's, and most likely more geared to that
crowd, instead of us middle aged "WTF is that crap?" crowd.

No. You care more about buying and listening to that album.

Have you ever recorded a song and not shared it with anybody? Maybe he made the album for himself? Maybe he made it for his Dad? Maybe he made it for his family?

That could all be wrong but the point is, he might not care as much about releasing it as those here want/expect him to.

But you don't think it's odd that he publicly documented this thing for months on end,
with studio updates, teasers, and pictures of all the gear used, then publicly announced it's completion,
followed by the sounds of crickets for the two years that followed?
