yup!!! thats one of my best buddies Mr. Chris Hubbard Hubbs for short haha. Was just on the phone with him 5 mins ago lol. He comes up from Michigan once a year to hang with me and we jam, build and paint guitars and do all things Eddie. the funny thing about Chris is he learned how to paint guitars from me years and years ago and now he blows me and most others away at it haha. Chris has done a bunch of my guitars over the last few years too. Him and Nick Mr. Bond are the best at it these days. Chris is one of the most talented guitar players Ive ever seen and Ive been playing for almost as long as hes been alive haha and the kid blows me away. Not to mention hes just a really really good guy with a big heart. One of my best friends for sure.

Baked/roasted necks feel as smooth, if not smoother, than standard unfinished maple necks. I've got a baked neck on my Strat build and I've put together baked neck guitars for a few friends. They're fantastic.

Sorry jape, I must have quoted you on accident.

Son of Slash's fingers are gonna be shot to hell by the time he hits 30.
Definitely not a monster, by any stretch of the word, he just needs some more discipline/repertoire, IMO.
There are so many other ways to play a guitar.

Now C. Hubbs on the other hand, different story, he is a sick monster, and I find him absolutely inspiring!
    He is way good!...........IMHO

I like the other guy better.

    BEAST on the gee-tar.

But i'm sure he can play in other styles, as well.
But he was showing off, because he was demoing the VH gear.

Lots of actual players love and praise that sound!
That wet, dry, wet thing is a thing of beauty. Hubbs pulls it off like nobody's business. I love how he got tackled the multi finger tapping stuff from Ed's LWAN Eruption solo. I believe him and a former poster, Garbeaj, are the only two I recall doing those fretboard moves, in addition to "The Master" that most of us are here for.

Still sucks a bit to see almost an identical guitar at 1/10th the price point.
Having played three of the $25K Frankies, I feel pretty confident in saying that these are going to feel and play as good or better too. Ouch...

Watch NITA STRAUSS Shred At This Year's NAMM

    January 22, 2020

Nita Strauss, the Los Angeles-based guitar shredder for the ALICE COOPER band, was was again in attendance at this year's NAMM convention in Anaheim, California for the launch of the latest additions to the Ibanez Nita Strauss signature JIVA family: the new JIVA X, JIVA10 and JIVA Junior models.

Video footage of Strauss shredding the axe on January 17 during the 2020 NAMM can be seen below (courtesy of YouTube user Clyde Shenefield).

Nita recently admitted that she initially had some reservations about putting out an album of instrumentals with her debut solo LP, 2018's "Controlled Chaos".

"I always thought that instrumental music was for 'better guitar players' than me," she wrote in an Instagram post. "I listened to it, but it took me a long time (and a push from [Steve Vai]) to find the faith in my ability that I could do it. That's a weird thought now that I look back on it, but let's face it — writing music that's essentially all solos is intimidating. It wasn’t until I started writing 'Controlled Chaos' that I realized there was a part of me that NEEDED to express myself that way."

She continued: "An instrumental song is one of the most pure forms of expression. It can be about whatever the listener needs it to be in that moment... just pure emotion, without being restricted by the use of words. I love that about it.

"Carving this new path as a solo artist has truly been one of my most cherished experiences of the decade and I can't wait to see where this second album takes me as I write it."

Nita's second solo LP is tentatively due in late 2020.

The guitarist's live show is mostly instrumental in nature, combining originals with covers.

Strauss has been playing with Alice Cooper since 2014 when she replaced Australian musician and former Michael Jackson player Orianthi. She joined Alice in time for a mammoth MÖTLEY CRÜE tour. She was recommended to Cooper by the legendary rocker's former bass player and WINGER frontman Kip Winger.

You can get a used EVH USA for 1500 on the used market if you search frequently. I picked up a first run USA Stealth for $1200(!) two years ago.
