I was at the Lincoln show last night, and it was way better than I expected. Roth was great! He was on, kept the weird register vocals to a minimum, and seemed like he was in a great mood the whole time. One other aspect of the show that I really liked was that there were no pauses between songs, it just went right from one tune into the next. I almost didn't go, (especially based on the videos of the Vegas stuff I had seen) but my buddy found some tickets on Groupon for $30 each. Best 30 bucks I've spent in a long time. So if you're on the fence, get your groupon on and go! You wont regret it.

It's unavoidable, I know - and was true during the last VH tours, as well. But I'm beginning to dislike Dave's treatment by the media! Should stop reading the reviews. And, no, I wasn't even thinking about the Elvis Costello reference.
Oh really, has he been getting ripped for this tour?!?

I've only seen a couple of reviews that I think James posted in here, and they were quite positive, as they should be, since Dave and his band have been kicking ass and entertaining.

Oh well, take comfort in knowing Dave probably doesnt give a fuck what reviewers think of him.

Wow, those seats have a better view of back stage than the actual stage. Wonder what they cost?

Instead of fading, Dave seems to be getting stronger as this thing progresses. The short set can't hurt, but he needs to keep this momentum going after KISS is finished! How about an album release and mini tour to support that?!

Isn't it back to Vegas when the KISS tour is done?

Also, nice to see Jump being played in a lower key. I think he used to try and do it even higher than it was on the record in prior years.

He's so much better just using his normal, REAL voice. I knew he could sing fine if he just stayed in his normal range, all that crap about "he can't control his diaphragm" was just that: Crap. Yeah, he might not be able to control it enough to do that unnatural, high caterwauling voice, but singing normally? No issues.

I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em. -

The most interesting thing I've noticed from all his recent KISS gigs is how everyone is actually STANDING UP for an opening act.

    Never seen that.

What a schedule - these guys play almost every night - like VH back in the old days. What happens April-August? I haven't looked at the KISS schedule, but assume there is some international travel in there?

Most concerts I've gone to the place is half filled at best during the opening act. Seems packed. Definitely good for Dave and Kiss. This was a good idea. I went to kiss last year and it was great but they had an artist on stage so it might have been 20% full. I showed up near the end of it. It was cool, but this was great.
    Right here I say....

It would be great if Ed was over whatever was ailing him and got a fire under his ass watching these performances.

    Would be.

I totally get it if Ed really is done.
