I like Peace Sells, but MOP is nails. Not even close.
If I don't respond to you it means I have you on ignore, which means you are a douchenozzle.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

I absolutely love & adore both albums, bought them & was blown away.

Peace Sells, is easily my fave Megadeth album, it's just that freaking good.

But, i gotta go back to those early years, and remember how MOP effected
    me, upon first listen.

That album (MOP) was a game changer.

I recognized it's brilliance straight away.

    I voted MOP.

I vote neither. But I like Mustaine.

I vote neither, but later adored the Black album, as well as the song Hangar 18 by Megadeth (in their fourteenth incarnation?).

I love Megadeth more than I do Metallica, and PSB?B is an awesome album, but MOP by 10,000 yards.

Again, as much as I love Megadeth, I think Dave was always a step or two behind. Dave should feel honored that Megadeth is even considered one of the Big Four of thrash/speed metal.

Master is a monumental record. I think every riff, every solo is right on the money. There's no filler track. It's not even a thrash record any more, it's just a landmark rock record.

It's gotta be Master Of Puppets for me. I reckon that's Metallica's best album.
As good as Peace Sells... But Who's Buying? is, I feel Megadeth's strongest is Rust In Peace.
“And what we have at our fingertips is arguably one of the greatest high tenor voices ever – that was in Michael Anthony. In our tiny little corner of the universe, that voice is as identifiable as the high voice in Earth, Wind & Fire, as identifiable as the high voice in the Beach Boys. Van Halen is an indelicate house blend of both – that’s intentionally. So I would always look forward to that reunion.” - David Lee Roth

Never could get over Mustaine's voice. That said, MOP is the perfect thrash/metal album. Metallica at their peak.

That's a nice poll, man! Kudos!!

It has to be Dave and Megadeth's 2nd effort. By far! Miles ahead of Metallica's 3rd record. And I even enjoy that one, but not as much as I love Ride the Lightning.

While Metallica kind of started to use the same formula they got from RTL, Peace Sells is like an all brand new stuff from Megadeth. Killing is my business ... is still one of my favourite records and then the band released something that was even better! Excellent song writing. Lots of great guitar shredding. Cool lyrics. And it has both Chris Poland and Gar Samuelson. IMHO, these 02 1st records still have Megadeth's best line up. I even include The System Has Failed ranked ahead of Rust in Peace, Countdown, Youthnasia or The World Needs a Hero.

Man ... It has to be me, but I love Mustaine's voice since day 01.

Probably you never listened to, but I think Dave did a great job singing his parts damn well on Risk (their 8th album released in 1999).
