I guess Dave's greatest strength was also his greatest weakness. LSD was/is a real thing. I'm not talking about the drug.

Been playin' And the Cradle Will Rock recently. Man, this might be the best solo recorded by Ed. So tasty, mixing Eddieisms and Holdsworth, and Clapton influences... I had to learn how to use my pinky to pull it.

The first solo is so good that I don't even play the second one cause I don't want to take the gilt off the gingerbread.

Yeah, the band checked them all off, that's guaranteed band breakup.

Interesting that this particular track was (I'm pretty sure) the only LP-version deep cut that VH ever produced an actual video for...

Don't know if there were any others.

The only people who didn't Fuck Up in that band were Alex and MA.

Ed was sloppy drunk the the last time I saw him in 1984 in Dallas.

Yeah, I'm guessing he had off nights that probably got more frequent as he got older.
The only genre I really know is Van Halen.

Romeo and Whisky my two favorites on the record. Whiskey follows a certain VH formula but I'm thinking Romeo is a bit unique in the VH catalog, no?

Definitely agree about Romeo....great, distinctive tune. My fave off WACF along with Fools.

not sure I would call that video "produced".... Lol. Looks like they invited a few girls over for a rehearsal in Dr. Roth's basement and ran an 8mm camera.

I'm guessing no more than $700-$900 in 1980 dollars.... lol

It would of been cheap but way more than $700 if Warner's video staff and personnel were involved handling the shoot and the editing (plus all the copyright/publishing paperwork with their publishing arm)

But I don't know if this was ever released WB officially because it was almost pre-MTV I believe... This is my ultimate fav VH song, and I didn't even know that this video existed until around 2010
