He did. I can’t remember the interview but he was talking about when Page and Jones were looking for a singer and he claimed he’d been contacted. He then went on about the different bands that have called him.

I’m sorry, but there’s no way in hell Motley Crue contacted Sam to join.

I particularly like this little nugget with Miles singing on Gov't Mule's album "Shout" from a few years back called "Done Got Wise."

And here's a clip of Miles performing with Gov't Mule at their annual Beacon Theatre New Years Eve show a few years back performing a number of AC/DC tunes (Mule does a second set at this annual show every year performing tunes from one of their favorite bands...They've done Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC...and numerous others). Here's "Shoot To Thrill"
"People say Cream gave birth to Heavy Metal," says Baker. "If that's so, we should have had an abortion."

He actually might be better than Slash. Even Slash says so.
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em. -

I don't know one way or another, but Nikki Sixx certainly commented on Sam's book and didn't say a thing about that part.
    I'd say it's certainly possible.

Oh Sammy said that in his book? How'd I forget THAT? Well, it was in '11 when I read it, but still.

I wonder what Ed, Al, Wolf and Myles would sound like...

Myles is one of the best rock voices in history. He would sound good with almost anyone.

One thing I wish Van Halen had done instead of Cherone, or even after, is to do the Santana thing and have an album with 3 or so instrumentals, and 7 or 8 songs with 4-8 different singers. 2 a piece or 8 different singers.

"I was asked at one time to be in Mötley Crüe. I was asked at one time to be in Pantera by their managers. I was asked to be in Velvet Revolver when Scott Weiland quit and went back to the Stone Temple Pilots. I was waiting to be asked to be in Led Zeppelin to say no, since they were the greatest band on earth and no could replace Robert Plant. I was asked to be in Aerosmith and I said no."

Pantera? Lol That is hysterical.... When exactly would that have been? Pantera was really only around (in a commercial sense) from 91-01. Hagar was in VH from 91-96. Each Pantera album got progressively heavier.

Sam stretches the truth a bit...you just have to let it go.
If I don't respond to you it means I have you on ignore, which means you are a douchenozzle.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

A man's rights rests in three boxes: the ballot box, the jury box, and the cartridge box

I think Pantera's heaviest point was, Far Beyond Driven.

Trendkill was a tiny bit less punishing.
