    December 31, 2019

Legendary rock band MÖTLEY CRÜE is joining forces with DEF LEPPARD, POISON and JOAN JETT & THE BLACKHEARTS for "The Stadium Tour" next summer.

"Extra" music correspondent Adam Weissler caught up with the four members of the CRÜE at the December 4 press conference announcing the trek, and he asked them how they are preparing for the highly anticipated 2020 shows.

Bassist Nikki Sixx joked: "We're gonna go into hibernation mode. We're gonna sleep for six months and prepare."

Singer Vince Neil added: "There's a lot of sacrifice. You have to do everything that you have to do — because from running around clubs to running around theaters to running around arenas to running around stadiums, there's a whole big difference. You've gotta be ready for it."

Someone posted this recent pic. Good for Vince

Actually, Vince kinda looks like he could be singing for Lynyrd Skynyrd:

    Hey Gary, check that out!

    What, Vince, where?!

Right there, a bald eagle, flying free in the sky!

    Hey, bird! (whistles)

Too old to be playing hoops.

I turned 56 on Tuesday. I still play at least once a week and half the guys I run with are about half my age. What I wouldn't give to have my 25 year old legs back …

Was doing the same until March 9, 2019, tore my L5 and L6 playing with some college kids.

Played last weekend with my boys in the driveway for the first time since...played HORSE.

I loved playing, but I don't think I can do it anymore.

I've been very lucky to not have back, knee or ankle issues. It's my feet and my toes that hurt after I play. I've tried several different basketball shoes, but no luck. The guys want to run again tonight. I better go sit in the bathtub for awhile so I can play.

Just read this tour has added a band called Tuk Smith and the Restless Hearts. Turns out they're from my town! Never heard of them in my life. This Tuk Smith guy was previously in a band called Biters that people on Facebook seem to have heard of? Not exactly my style of music, sounds lightweight for this tour, but always like to see local people succeed.

Heart Breakers and Restless Hearts on the same bill. I'm kinda glad to see another band added, it would be sad for Joan Jett not to have an opener.

Okay, they announced Cleveland and I was like no way they are selling out a tour of football stadiums.
    It's mostly baseball stadiums.

VINCE NEIL's Slurring CAMEO Video Goes Viral
    February 7, 2020

A video message from MÖTLEY CRÜE singer Vince Neil to a superfan has gone viral.

Neil was recently asked to send a birthday message on Cameo, which lets users hire celebrities to record brief, personalized video messages about virtually any topic. What he ended up recording is a 25-second video which sees him totally fumbling his instructed lines, including quoting "Dr. Feelgood" and other MÖTLEY CRÜE classics.

The clip in question was uploaded to YouTube by a user named "Skunk'd Life," who wrote in the accompanying description: "We hired Vince Neil of MÖTLEY CRÜE through a site called (www.cameo.com) to wish my younger brother a happy 40th birthday. I got my brother into the CRÜE when we were little and still to this day the CRÜE and esp Vince is his idol.

"You are given 250 characters of what you want the celebrity to say. and this is what we intended Vince to say:

'Happy Birthday to Derek from Christian, Mom, Tanya, Ethan and Blake. Shout at the devil to start off this new decade and take the opportunity to kickstart your auto search and sales!! Listen to the Dr. and feelgood about the big 4-0 in 2020.'

"This video is what came out of him instead. We honestly find it hysterical and Vince if you're seeing or reading this. We still love ya man!!! I'll see ya 10th row in miami this summer !!!"

The below video can also be seen on the Cameo web site.

Cameo reportedly features more than 20,000 celebrities — from musicians and actors to drag queens and from YouTubers to Olympic gold medallists — who, for fees from $1 to $2,500, will offer video messages that mention another person by name. Happy birthday messages are common, as are baby announcements, but some celebrities have also recorded messages for Cameo users looking to quit their jobs or ask a potential date to a prom. The price for a video is determined by the celebrity.

Neil charges $400 for each of his Cameo videos.

This past December, Vince told "Extra" that "there's a lot of sacrifice" involved in getting ready for a tour of this magnitude. 'You have to do everything that you have to do — because from running around clubs to running around theaters to running around arenas to running around stadiums, there's a whole big difference," he said. "You've gotta be ready for it."

"Make way for the bad guy"- Tony Montana

"I wish Bon Jovi would've given me a call before he recorded all of his hits, because the lyrics would've been smarter, the melodies would've been much more smashing, and they would've sold a lot fewer records." -David Lee Roth

"My beef is people thinking Bon Jovi is good cuz they sold lots of records to housewives." -tango

It's rough being old. I pulled a groin muscle lifting a couch for my neighbor this weekend. Sedentary work life catching up with me, I think. Swear to God, I thought my intestines were spilling out at first. Big tearing sensation inside my thigh and an electric flash in my lower belly. It's the couch and bon bons for me from now on.
