He isn't Mike. Sammy isn't Dave. Dave isn't Sammy and unfortunately Gary wasn't even Gary Cherone during his time. I am just thankful we got some music. Regardless of it being brickwalled, Dave yelping like a castrated porpoise and Mike's harmonies missing.

Yeah he should just shut down Twitter and realize that he is the enemy since he isn't Mike. Some 50 year old fanboys will come a trolling. However they should troll Eddie. He is the one that caused it. Not Wolfgang

Thanks for the after work laugh, Bro. That was epic.

I find it hard believe that Wolf faces THAT much horrible backlash on his own social media. I mean come on.

I read Fox News a lot. They constantly have some b/c/d-list celebrity's IG update for some reason. I always check it out. Like 50% of user comments are insults, and 50% are nutsack swingers. It's just the way it is... I highly doubt Wolf's is any different. If you can't handle random idiots on the internet, just delete your profiles or learn to ignore them. Problem solved. If I HAD to put on my Psychologist cap for a minute - I'd say that being an only child, AND the child of 2 celebrity's - he was probably brought up being told how special he was, and hence doesn't have the standard coping skills that a lot of us do from years of fighting with siblings and having random Dick and Sally's as parents!! Not his fault at all - but again, he's never going to win that battle.

I think that Wolf's been lucky because he's been on well attended tour. He wasn't on the VHIII tour where some of the venues were half empty. So the fans voted with their wallet, and he has nothing to complain about. When it mattered, the fans were there. I could understand the bitterness if suddenly VH fans would've stopped showing up at concerts or buying the records. But it hasn't really been the case during Wolf's time in the band.

And lots of bands thank their fans. Priest, Maiden, etc. It's not that hard to do. I've thanked the band when I met them and my biggest mark of appreciation is all the money I've spent on them. I don't feel I should do more. On the other hand, I am not satisfied with VH's communication with its fans during the last 20 years. I don't think many fans are.

I think Wolf, overall, has played a great hand with the cards that were dealt to him...
Some of you wish Dave had never left. Some of us wish Sammy was still there. Almost all of us miss Mike. Yadda, yadda, yadda.

Wolf was born into rock and celebrity royalty. Privileged? Sure. Yet that does not always predetermine musical ability on multiple instruments, as well as vocal prowess. He's got the goods, yet (IMO) should just go for it. Put out the solo album! It's better to have than have not. The Circle isn't selling a gajillion copies, and this band includes two upper tier rock echelon musicians, yet at least they have it out there and have been touring behind it...

Itís so funny because Van Halen always was the fun party band, but yet behind the scenes they probably werenít a ton of fun. And all these other bands who were darker and harder seem to be the ones that are much more likable and fan-friendly.

And the biggest thing, they donít take themselves so damn seriously!

Im hesitant to bring Rush into this because I know what will follow, but your comment mirrors my experience. When I was young and getting into VH here in Australia a mate turned me onto Rush. In those days the only publicity any of these bands would get would be occasional guitar mags, maybe a metal mag, Never played on the radiio, n other news. I loved VH and at the stage of my life bought into the "good times" mantra of it all. I really liked Rush's music but from the tiny amount of publicity we got of them down here I had them pegged as aloof, elite, above all and snooty....and I wasnt signing up for that.

It wasnt until MANY years later as a result of the interwebs that I found out that Rush were basically the opposite of how they had come across and VH were pretty much the antithesis of their public persona.

Rush are the most serious band that dont take themselves seriously and VH were the "fuck it grab a girl and a beer" band that take themselves WAY too serious.

EVH & VH owe me nothing but with all the time Ed spent with Luke, I wish a bit of his philosophy had rubbed off.

The Rush guys aged well, making fun of themselves in later years. But even the early records had songs like "I think I'm going bald." Everyone can make the comparison. I won't coz it hurts!

Social Media is like raw dogging. It feels great and all but eventually something bad will happen. Either a STD or an unexpected pregnancy.

If faced with the social media response to being in VH or the fame and money gained from it I would take the fame and money everytime. If my kid was a celeb first thing I would urge them to do is get off social media and work at your craft harder. You can have a web site kept current and never read your critics remarks.

Wolf, 99% of the drama comes from the band and either lack of info or some straight up duck moves, you guys like the controversies, so you can’t play the victim

That said, do what you want and stop wasting time on people living in their parents basement
