Everyone is just glad that he is out and about and enjoying the show with his son.

    And having fun.

Period. End of story. Holy shit.

Lol... I can guarantee you that if Ed or Dave walked through any mall outside of LA in regular street clothes, 99.9% of people would not recognize them.

I've seen Jon Bon Jovi / Springsteen / Johnny Rzeznik shopping/dining around here over the years and nobody has recognized them (except me). When people are out doing their everyday shit in life, they don't have their celebrity radar turned on.

I don't recognize people on facebook that I knew in my 20's... and I'm damn well sure they don't recognize me either with my 30 extra pounds, jowls and neck rolls.

When I get my picture taken I feel like that 25-30 year old inside... but when I see the picture I'm shocked myself at how I look. Lol!

I was on the PA Turnpike last summer and stopped for gas at a crowded rest station etc. I'm sitting in the vehicle waiting for my sons to come back with the food and Im looking around and there is Mike Tomlin pumping gas and nobody came over. I rolled the window down and said hi coach.

I was gonna say earlier that he has taken to looking a bit like his mom in later years with age and a little extra weight put on... but that's probably racist.

I will say this... I was working the door at a nightclub in Charlotte, NC in the late 90s, and EVERYBODY recognized Ric Flair when he walked in. WOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

You can't judge someones health on a few cell phone pics. Bad angle, bad lighting, sometimes you look better in certain clothes (colors too) than others. One day you look fat, than next not. Not fair to Ed to speculate based on little to no evidence.

All I care about is...if he is healthy enough to go car shopping and concerts, why can't he address the rumors of his poor health? Why wouldn't he want to? I mean, not wanting to do press before a tour, fine. Not wanting to discuss "the bass player" fine, but to let people who care about your well being just hang when your health is in question, thats plain shitty. It's the silent treatment. What did we do to deserve the silent treatment? Buy millions of albums and concert tickets, vote him to the top of every guitar poll/ greatest band ever contest, buy anything gear related to him, and basically worship the ground he walks on for 40+ years now.

Don't give me the "it's his right to privacy". In todays social media age how hard is it to let people know how your doing? Don't have to give details. I don't need to explain how to be decent. I mean if I'm out of line here, let me know, but really...

All I'll say is that I don't think it's a "coincidence" that a bunch of random pics of Ed at car dealerships and Tool concerts pop up online about a week after all the stories broke that he in various stages of declining health. That is precisely how the VH camp is "letting people know" how he is doing. Don't expect a press conference or Trump-like twitter frenzy.

I don't think one or two lines posted to social media is too much to ask?

He's not part of your family bro (or mine). He's obviously doing ok or he wouldn't be shopping for quarter million dollar cars or taking in Tool concerts. Just use common sense. He's ok. How would a post on social media that says "yeah I've been getting cancer treatments in Germany for awhile, but I'm in remission now" change anybody's life?

Step back and think about it with an open mind as a human being and not a Van Halen fan.

You do realize how much of a tall order that is, right?
