Would love an instrumental cd like this with Alex on drums! Or jazz...Or classical...

    Sometime down the road.

    Just pure EVH music...

    We'll see, brother VS.

Even if it's instrumental stuff from over the years that we haven't heard...

I've never been very big on Dave or Sam outside of VH. On the other hand, I've never been big on Gary in VH. I am still not prepared to issue a statement on Mitch Malloy either outside or in VH.

I know 5150 is littered with demos upon demos of stuff like this. This, all 3 eras of rough tracks, completed songs, jams, and god knows what type of videos of them inside 5150. Hours, weeks, months worth of stuff....
If Ed wants to tell his story, tell it by releasing this type of shit to the fanbase. I'm pretty confident that current, and even past VH fans, (those who used to be fans, but have moved in from them), would GLADLY open their wallets to purchase box set after box set after box set. They could release shit 1 or 2 times a year and the band would absolutely make bank. But, I'm sure the brothers are still bitter and don't want to see Mike or Sam make 1 penny off of anything that resides inside the 5150 vaults.
I believe because of the history VH has in music overall, people... fans or not, the curiosity of their work and musicianship would spark some serious interest in the unreleased stuff. I have to believe it would. There is such a wide complex of people who love and respect Van Halen and that scope crosses many genres of musicians and people alike. A entire generation of people.

I doubt Wolfie is going to release any noodle tapes.

Perhaps the other 15 polished tracks from the ADKOT sessions might see the light of day someday, I suppose.

But I was referring to anymore live Van Halen, which is, and always has been, where my heart lies with Van Halen. The albums are great. But live Eddie is what Van Halen is all about.

And it's a sad day, to consider that's finally capped. That day had to come. Of course it's not really one hundred percent until the man says so himself, but, of late the last ten years, he's not the kinda guy that's gonna do that.

The fact that Dave's able to say such things without recrimination speaks volumes, of course.

Better than what? Nothing? LOL. No need to get fanboy about it. Whether Dave or Sam's contending is irrelevant given the context at hand.
