Good for DLR, I fear for him in that it will be a disaster giving the status of his voice. Hopefully, he uses some help, gets some back up singers, something.

His voice is simply not good enough to be up on stage live without a net. And this is coming from a Dave guy. Plenty of artists do it (use vocal help), and are up front about it. As much as I despise Roger Waters, at least he is up front about it, paraphrased "I've lost my singing voice, but I still like to perform, so, I use technology to help me put on a good show. If you don't like that...stay at home."

100% agree on a pair of back up singers but as of last time I checked that is still a no. Reverb on his mic as well, it has a thing for being natural. I think it is stubborn AF on his part.

He had female backup singers on his 99 tour supporting Bad Company, and it helped a lot.

More bands should do this. Tom Keifer does this and it helped the sound greatly.

Tom Keifer is a great singer/songwriter/musician!
He gets online grief from some for being the Cinderella guy, yet he is the real deal.

Agreed. Like DLR, he had a unique singing style that really cost him his voice in the long run, but he's a talented dude. Long Cold Winter is a great disc.

Yeah he had throat surgery soon after the band hit it big. I saw him back in October (he happened to be playing the night we were at a Casino) and I was really pleasantly surprised at how good the show was.

I sometimes wonder if guys like him wouldn't be better off writing songs for some shitty modern country act like Florida Georgia Line, you know, the 2010's version of hair metal...bro country.

Would probably make some good coin.

He has done some of that. His 2 solo records are so much better than anything from Cinderella in my view
