    Yup.
This is amazing footage of young Eddie tearing up the stage!
Can you imagine seeing this in your backyard, driveway, or school gym just a handful of months prior?

Yep. Started during the Hagar era by the Brothers who were really bitter and hurt that Dave left, and perpetuated by fans who never really liked or "got" Dave anyway. His screams were incredible back then.

That was hilarious! Sabbath didnt have a chance. That little snippet of the extended jam on YRGM. What a BAND. The perfect band. Charismatic, cocky frontman that didnt sound like anybody else, the greatest game changing guitarist ever, Alex the Animal flying all over the kit, and Mike pounding away on the low end while nailing the best harmonies this side of the Beach Boys.

No doubt that someone in the circle has pointed this out to Edward or his team. Or maybe the other few times it's been restored and posted. Eddie, are you listening? Some of us who helped make payments on the Lambo(s) would like stuff like this on the dvd rack etc.

He was a good singer but stretched himself too much with bad mechanics which caused issues later. Most fail to realize his range is as big as it is. The problem is he stretched to his limits so much that is pretty significant wear and tear. Plus he did odd things like inhaling on his screams but in tune etc... He sounded pretty perfect the first 4 tours.

WOW! Thatís awesome footage. Hard to imagine anyone having to follow that act. Eddie the Monster! Was anyone besides Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris doing jump kicks like Dave was back in '78? He was a Rock and Roll Ninja!

Nobody would have. Even the mighty Zeppelin would have been trampled underfoot after that onslaught.

Here's the entire show from the beginning of ATBL. The video that the OP posted has been sliced down.

There's two other ones as well that have none of the audio cut.

Yep, Zep was on the downward slide by 78, as was Aerosmith. I dont know that Ive ever seen a crowd boo when the lights came up and the crew starting taking down the opening act's gear.

One of my favorite aspects of live VH back then was the reverb on Dave's vocals. This has definitely been sorely missing from the recent tours.

EPIC. Watching this again I'm still in amazement after all these years. Roth was INSANELY BRILLIANT in concert. There was absolutely no one like him. Same with Eddie. Watching his guitar solo had me laughing in disbelief again today.

I said this before, and I'll sail it say it again… I don't know if it was FATE, or just a random MIRACLE that the best front man ever AND the best guitar player ever actually ended up in the SAME rock band. But whatever brought them together, that's why I'm here, as a fan.

Watching the Fresno '78 & '79 footage makes me wish the guys behind "Fresno Media Restoration"... instead of staying in Fresno and filming whatever bands came through town... simply packed their bags and followed Van Halen around the country around for the next 7 years.
