When Ed passes, Wolfgang will be simply known as the guy who replaced Mike and Ed's kid. People who followed VH will know of him but most of the public will have no idea. Even with his famous mom Valerie. Sure we know who she is because we frequent a message board for a retired band. Most of us saw her on One Day at a Time too. To a 30 year old kid? That's like asking one of us in the 80's who was the hot girl on Leave it to Beaver.

The last name will pique ones interest but its not like he is some house hold name like "hey what is that Justin Bieber up to."

So yeah, he's living off his wealth. If he has a good financial planner, his shit is invested and he can prob live off the dividends/interest. No harm, no foul - but call it what it is! Saying Ed lives another 10 years, we are all going to be in our late 50s at least. You think we are going to give a shit about some long lost outtakes from 5150? Lol, I hope not!

The point that I was making, is that I don't think that Wolf set it in his heart to retire. On his FB page, when asked if he is retired, he said that to retire at such a young age would make him an 'asshole.'

He doesn't need to work, and I doubt that there are any external forces that compel him to do so, so he does as he pleases.

Greg Renoff tweeted part of Dave's radio show from 2006 where Dave took credit for the stripes even then, saying he got it from The Clash. Maybe Dave had his punk bands confused? Maybe him and Eddie were in a bar, saw the Dils guy's guitar and Dave says, "Look at that...cool idea," and counts that as thinking of the stripes.
Or maybe that dude got it from Ed, since lots of people saw Ed but nobody saw the Dils?
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em. -

    I remember Dave complaining:

I would agree this is the most likely scenario. However, Wolf has flashed levels of insane talent on occasion. I don’t think it’s fair to judge him based on his base work trying to fit within VH. We know he can play every instrument, write and can sing. He’s probably a better guitarist than bass player. I’m withholding judgment on him until we see what he’s really capable of. I don’t fault him for wanting to lay low and play the role of the bass player in one of the most iconic bands ever.

We will see when he finally pulls the trigger on the record he recorded. Which I don’t see dropping until Ed is done/unable to play or God forbid, dead. Or if Ed returns healthy, I’m convinced Mike steps back in and Wolf opens. Perfect showcase for his new music.

At least that’s my take on everything we know at this point. Don't underestimate the kid.

What the f'n hell fuck. Those guys were great. Blew Daves band outta the water.

Seriously, I'm no musician but I got the same chills from that second video jam that I got from the SMGAD jam in 83.

Oh lol, it's Deraps I just realized. Of course they were awesome!

Has anybody else noticed Dave hasn't put up a new show in awhile? Doesn't he usually do one a week?

He's probably shifted into tour mode. His website was updated (same dance moves in Vegas attire instead of overalls) and he's probably spending all his time promoting and rehearsing.
