Sam doesn't really do diplomacy. He just says what's on his mind. I've never heard him show appreciation for solo Dave anyways. Probably because he first heard Dave solo when he was in VH post 86 and at that time, Dave was "the enemy." He was hearing "Dave sucks" 24/7 from the brothers. I don't think I ever heard Dave say good things about I Can't Drive 55 or any Sam solo tune either. It is what it is.

Well, seeing as there's nothing good to say about I Can't Drive 55 I can't really fault Dave for that.

There's a reason some of us find Sam to be a first rate asshole.

Which is a shame because I got into VH when he was in the band and thought he was a cool dude back in the day. Sadly he's proven that to not be the case.
The only genre I really know is Van Halen.

This was a perfect opportunity for Sammy to say something like, "Hey, Dave is out there doing what he loves to do. Good for him."

That tourís show here was so loud it distorted like when an alarm clock is turned all the way up. If you put your fingers in your ears you could make out the songs.

Oddly, the concert that sticks in my brain for being way too loud was Metallica's set on the Monsters of Rock tour with VH. It was even in an outdoor stadium (Joe Albi in Spokane) and a lot of us went to the outer part of the stadium (food and march) to save our ears for... Dokken! I remember thinking at the time, how can something outdoors be THIS loud.

Motley Crue in Melbourne in 1990 was by far the loudest show I ever saw. My ears were ringing for the next 6 days after it (no exaggeration).

They actually had to change the rules for concert volumes here after that tour.

Indeed, it is what it is. These two grown men have never liked one another, so Iím not sure why anybody cares or is surprised when one of emí slags the other.

    Theyíve both done it.

In terms of loud concerts, when I was front row centre for VH in Toronto in 04, that was probably the loudest concert experience I have ever had. By Edís solo, I couldnít even really hear his guitar. It was just white noise.

Wonder if Dave is filming any behind the scenes stuff? Would be cool to see what he and the band are doing.

You'd be greatly disappointed... 2 rooms, 1 with Dave, 1 with the band. No big party... no celebrities... no midgets... 1 minute before show time, everybody gathers just off stage... "Hi fella's... everybody ready... let's go!" End of show everybody back to their rooms and on their way separately. It's just a job...

I would think by the time you get into your 70's you would stop acting like a school boy, but hey, it is what it is.

    I hope that's fake.

It is disappointing any of these old guys would take a shot at each other. They all know they are essentially slaves to genetic lottery. Hell Paul Stanley has the most shot voice and was a total health nut, genetic lottery can be a bitch. Not to mention odd to rip performance and say you did not watch as he states. Just odd, disappointing and says more about himself. Second wife syndrome

Still I'd be surprised if real

I'm sure Dave didn't enjoy Sam constantly beaking off how he heard they were going to fire DLR before the 1st album & replace him with SH bc he was a better vocalist. I imagine that got really annoying very quickly.
