Other than the occasional report of the high E being too close to the edge of the fretboard (Eddie, Steve Stevens, and countless others made it work!), the EBMM is very highly regarded and heralded.

We're not talking about "eras"or any of that internet BS, yet the guitars themselves... I've owned several, both US and imports. Never heard any issues with the EBMM axes in terms of intermittent electronics or bridge angle faults etc. Have had some hits and misses with the Wolfgang line(s), both Peavey and Fender.

I now play import models of the EBMM design, which I feel have been refined closer to how I like them, yet still wish they had jumbo frets and the compound radius of Ed's later production guitars.

the EBMM EVH's are pretty rare here in oz , I spent a long time trying to find one after loving the one I tried back in the 90's, I was surprised when I finally had a chance to try one again a couple years back and I absolutely hated the neck, very different to what I was used to. Great quality guitar though pickups are awesome and the quilted tops are amazing.

Didn't really like the peavey, I thought the pickups and overall quality wasn't quite up there (compared to similar priced guitars) Haven't had a chance to try the fenders yet, but I like the design. I think a hard tail one of those would be awesome!

It's hard to keep track of your paranoia about aliases/trolls, or basically EVERYONE who you have disagreements with. Not only a drunk idiot, you're a psycho as well.

I’ve got a couple Peavey Specials and a Sterling AX40 Music Man. I think the Peaveys were the best looking EVH guitars. Agreed the MusicMan shape was always kinda fugly to me (the stubby 4+2 headstock too). But the thing is comfortable as hell and sounds great. The neck is a little chunkier which I love. So I play it a home a lot. But for a gig I’d usually go with a Strat.

I actually thought the EBMM headstock was cool. But the body was too bloated and round looking. It's just looks. I mean, the most popular guitar ever might be the Les Paul, and I think those are just incredibly ugly and clunky looking lol.

The EBMM always kind of reminded me of a Les Paul/Telecaster hybrid body. Telecaster are ugly, too.

LOL, that's what EVH had in mind when he designed the guitar. If you have an issue with it take it up with him.

Well, you’re wrong about the Les Paul. It’s a piece of art and a classic. The Tele isn’t my favorite shape (again the headstock), but a butterscotch with black pick guard is pretty sexy.

Wow! So Brett and I and anyone else who owns one has a guitar that only about 6000 were ever made!

Wish I wouldn't have sold the other one I used to own...
