Another good Road Game for the 49ers.

Kyle Shanahan's play calling was great. Jimmy G just throwing to wide open guys all day. Strong rushing attack as well.

Defense was again solid, stopped the run. They did give up some passing yards as the Bengals tried to get back in it.

    +++

Really looking forward to the 49ers first Home Game.... Steelers come to town. Looks like no Ben R though.....

After the atrocious officiating down the stretch in the Bears Broncos game I decided not to even bother with Sunday Night Football. And I think I'm going to skip Monday Night Football too.

If this is roughing the passer then I'm done with this fucking league.

    https://twitter.com/MySportsUpdate/s...80123493621760

You don't make that call with less than 30 seconds left in a one point game when the team with the ball only needs 40 yards to get into field goal range. And yes, the call earlier in the game when they "roughed" Flacco was bullshit too.

Then, the clock runs out but the refs somehow decide that they can put 1 second back on the clock.

Better be careful NFL, you're about to lose a life long fan with this shit. I don't have to watch football, I have plenty of other things that I can spend my time doing. and there's so many things wrong with this league right now that I may very well do just that.
The only genre I really know is Van Halen.

Personally, I had no interest in signing AB. Would have preferred they passed. But they signed him, so we'll see what happens.

I have zero opinion on the merits of the lawsuit (and note - it's a civil case, NOT a criminal case). One way or the other it's a disgusting display of callousness. IMO no matter how it comes out, humanity loses.

To think the Pats tampered is kind of stupid - or at least tampered more than any team does with every free agent. They really didn't need to. They were after him when he was originally traded, everyone knew that. There were multiple teams in on him that he would have gone to if the Pats hadn't ponied up. Were they tampering too? He wanted the Pats - probably the only smart thing he's done in a decade - and they wanted him. You don't need a lot of time at that point to get it done.

From what I hear, the Pats wanted him as much for their team as to keep him away from other teams. But they are one of the very few franchises in sports where an asshole in the locker room won't get much traction. And that all comes from Bill and Tom. Both are so intensely dedicated to winning, and have the ability to compartmentalize to an incredible degree. From what I hear, BB is actually a pretty good guy in his personal life, he is just a completely different person when it comes to football. Not many people can do that. He can. So can Tom. Not too many accomplished pro athletes who take as much BS without bailing as Tom does from the Pats. We'll see what happens this coming off-season. A LOT of people think he's gone.

Do I think the Pats are squeaky clean when it comes to the rules? Nope, then again I think every team skirts a lot of rules. But I think the Pats break far fewer rules than most other teams do. The fact is the Pats are under such an incredible degree of scrutiny when it comes to rules, that there's very little chance of them getting away with much. Then again, maybe Bill is just a master criminal, gets away with things right under everyone's noses.

Antonio Brown - NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS

Sports Illustated's Robert Klemko reports Antonio Brown is facing sexual misconduct allegations from a second accuser stemming from an incident in 2017.

The accuser (whose name Klemko did not reveal on the condition of anonymity) was commissioned to paint a mural at Brown's home when AB spoke to her while allegedly naked except for a hand cloth covering his genitals. Klemko goes on to describe numerous instances where Brown reneged on agreements, inventing sources of conflict to get out of paying chefs, publicists, trainers, valets, personal assistants and even a charity. Aside from stiffing his employees, the article also alleges Brown intentionally passed gas in a doctor's face during a check-up and allowed party guests to freely smoke marijuana in the presence of his children while repeatedly "ghosting" those he owed money. Overall, Klemko's profile paints the portrait of a deeply disturbed narcissist with chronic anger issues and little regard for other people. Brown is finally back to playing football but the dark cloud of controversy swirling around him continues to grow.

yeah, I think they could've done just fine without him and would've preferred that that type of individual not be suited up in a Patriot uniform.

I have tremendous respect for Belichick, don't care what anyone else thinks. His record in New England speaks for itself.

    I'm sure they don't.

But there are plenty more like me who are tired of the horrible officiating, the continued watering down of the game where you can't even breathe on the QB, and the overall poor quality of play.

And I personally don't give a shit whether they care about me or not, I'm not going to continue to blindly support a garbage product that they can't fucking get right.

Sooner or later it hits critical mass, and yes, fantasy football and gambling have delayed that day of reckoning because there's a lot of "fans" who could give two shits about whether or not their team wins anymore as long as they win some money from bullshit stats in fantasy football or on a gambling wager. I'm not into either so if I have something better to do, I will.

It's funny how the most hated sports league in America is the most popular.

Wow. That was a truly awful call that completely changed the outcome of the game. Totally unacceptable.

Yeah, my Steelers are in the shitter. See what Rudolph can do. Actually, the guy behind him has some potential too. Devlin Hodges I think his name is.

Rumors of a trade for Minkah Fitz.....that would be welcomed.
