I try to ignore all that race shit. And Kap is just part of the program. "They" want everyone in America to hate each other. Makes it easier to control the narrative.

As a kid that played football in HS and College, in extremely white schools - the locker room and football field was one place where nobody gave a fuck about race. If you could ball - you could ball.

Same thing when I would play pickup basketball games in college in "black" towns. Nobody fucked with me. I was just like any other kid on the courts. But the narrative now is that we all have to hate each other.

Of all the things I'm thankful for in life - growing up pre-internet, pre 24/7 media is right near the top of my list.

Fred Cox. I remember him as a straight ahead kicker. Never knew he had a hand in the Nerf ball development. Hope he retired a millionaire. RIP.

yeah. He was the kicker for the Vikings when I started following football. Did not know about the Nerf thing either. Maybe I heard that a long time ago, but since if I did I forgot about it, that counts as not knowing! I think that alone is good enough for Hall of Fame inclusion! Those things were a big part of my friends' and mine winters. Still keep one in the trunk, though I don't think it's an official one.

Rest in peace, Mr. Cox - thank you

I remember putting the Nerf in the dryer to make it a little less "squishy" so you could throw it better. Had to be careful though, but it in there too long and the damn thing became brittle.

    It was an art.

My dad was not a fan of Nerf footballs.

He'd buy me one and I'd leave it out in the yard and the dog would chew it up. Then he'd replace it and I'd do it again.

After about the third or fourth one no more Nerf footballs for me.
The only genre I really know is Van Halen.

My god do the officials suck this year. TRIPPING?!?!

Those were both horrid calls. And nothing like the refs doubling down on it and calling it a second time after f*cking up the first one. I think they said there like 4 of them all year across the entire league, 3 called yesterday, and 2 of them on the Cowboys last night. W.T.F.

Fortunately from a fairness standpoint the refs sucked for both sides pretty much all night.
