No kidding. Morning radio here in DC is talking about how they are only two games out and they play everyone once more and can win the NFC East with eight wins.

I think the Eagles figure it out, there is too much talent on that team for them to play like they are.

Rams really shook up things yesterday with trading Peters to Baltimore for a bag of balls then mortgaging their draft for 2 years trading with Jacksonville for Ramsey. Interesting to see who this pays off most for. Personally I think the Rams gave up too much for Ramsey and got not much in return for Peters who is a good player still young but a headcase. Ramsey is twice the headcase as Peters imo. Footballs the ultimate team sport.

It pays off the most for Ramsey....he forced his way out of Jacksonville without losing a single game check by, what many feel by faking an injury, and gets to play in LA....be interested to see if his back is suddenly feeling much better.

i watch that game and realise just how blessed I have been these past 20 years to watch this team, after years of the Sullivans circus and then the failed Victor Kiam expirement, an owner that allows his people to make the moves they need to make, a coach who, would probably scare me if he was my boss or my dad, but just knows how to create a winning environment and get the players to buy in and basically out coaches everyone else, and a quarterback who didn't come into the league as a hyped high round draft pick but who takes whatever parts they give him out there and has grown into one of the best quarterbacks in history. I know some day it will probably end but until it does I'm gonna enjoy it.

Is this the best defense the Patriots have ever had? Who is going to beat them?

    Their offense.

I would say it probably is the best D they've ever had. So deep and interchangeable. Ted Johnson thinks it's better by a hair over 2004 because of the depth.

But they won't go 16-0, schedule toughens up on them over the next 8 weeks. And their offense just isn't that good. I'm hoping for "yet" on that one, though.

Speaking of which, it's being reported they picked up Sanu from the Falcons for a 2. That's a lot to give up for a guy like that, most of the "experts" I've heard thought a 4 or 5 should have done it. That's Bill - he's hit or miss on trades. For a guy who hoards draft picks, he sure doesn't mind wasting them in trades...

And Jakobi Meyers seems to have started to click with Brady. Glad to see it - he seemed like a guy that Brady would work well with. Undrafted, grinder, but talented.

The hope is what I posted earlier this thread - they start off slow on the O because Brady isn't doing the offseason stuff he used to. With new guys, it takes them a while to learn each other in this offense. My thought was they'd start to click in the back half of the season.

Maybe. Right now, biggest concern is the OL. They aren't very good...

I have a call into the OL coach's daughter. True story.

Scarnecchia is a f*cking amazing coach - best OL coach in the league right now. One of the top 4-5 ever. But even he can't do much when you're running Newhouse out at LT...

Pats are going 16-0. I don't care about the Ravens or Chiefs. They are going 16-0 and probably won't even break a sweat in their 2 home playoff games.

Only teams a see matching up with them and playing a PERFECT game to beat them in the SB are Saints or Packers. And by perfect, I mean not choking to death when they have the lead going into the 4th quarter.

The AFC is weak as hell this year. I don't think Mahomes is going to be the same when he comes back. He's got a bad knee and ankle now. Their D gets pushed around. Colts are a better all around squad but they aren't going into Foxboro and winning anything. Ravens got throttled by the Browns so they are week to week.

Saints or Packers. Other than those 2 units balling out in the SB, just give Bill/Tom #7 right now.
