20 Insanely Great Van Halen Songs Only Hardcore Fans Know - Rolling Stone
I don't know if this list was ever posted here, if so feel free to move this.
I just stumbled across the list and thought it was pretty cool.
Some great tracks in it.“And what we have at our fingertips is arguably one of the greatest high tenor voices ever – that was in Michael Anthony. In our tiny little corner of the universe, that voice is as identifiable as the high voice in Earth, Wind & Fire, as identifiable as the high voice in the Beach Boys. Van Halen is an indelicate house blend of both – that’s intentionally. So I would always look forward to that reunion.” - David Lee Roth

Cool list.
One of my favorites:
Perhaps the most upbeat song ever penned about overdosing on either pills or booze — David Lee Roth's minimalist lyrics leaves this open to interpretation — "Somebody Get Me a Doctor" is the loud and loose climax of Van Halen II, the band's 1979 sophomore outing. The unbridled energy of the playing suggest that this recording must capture a first or second take in all of its ragged glory, and Roth has rarely squealed, squawked and screamed as exuberantly, as he does here while celebrating his own near demise."It's so lonely at the top because it's so crowded at the bottom" - Diamond David Lee Roth
"The truth sounds like hate to those who hate the truth" - Todd Wagner
