Lots of cool folks mentioned here.

I'd go with a few already listed:

    Jimi Hendrix
    Eric Clapton
    Paul Stanley
    Gary Moore
    Robert Cray
    SRV
    Dave Mustaine
    John Sykes
TT: "Wow, you can play acoustic guitar?"
    EVH: "Sure. What's the difference? It's got six strings... It's a guitar!" - 31.12.1978

Prince is on piano instead of guitar, but this is one of the most amazing performances I have ever seen. Watch the whole thing …

Wow, you guys came up with some good ones. Looks like most can't pick a favorite, though! I'll stick with original pick, but Chuck Berry was a great one I hadn't thought of. And Prince.

Hendrix's voice never did anything for me, so he's far down on my list of dual threats. Same with some of the other guys you mentioned - great on guitar but not so great vocalists. For me, of course.

His vocal chops are as good as his guitar chops. Can sing anything from heavy stuff to Wilson Pickett style soul and all in between.
