Yeah Think Visual was their last real album. Loved that one.

Low Budget was one of our flashpoint x party albums, along with Look Sharp, Physical Graffiti, Aero Greatest Hits II, Only a Lad, Strange Days, and 2112.

Eddie played that with Sambora etc. from the City of Hope All Star Garage Band special. I didn't care for how he stuck out like a sore thumb, and did that same tapping lick he uses in virtually every jam.

Nice catch! I always assumed it was an old Cream ending or something.

I always thought, and have mentioned before, that VH in the early days would've done a killer version of The Immigrant Song. Riff based, Roth doing the banshee screams, lots of room to ad lib, and as Page does live - perfect to have an extended outro solo.

With Sammy? Quite a bit more range and options. Rockers, ballads, rock songs with keys etc. I'd like them (hypothetically, back then) to tackle I Want it All, by Queen.

Yeah and his tone isn't the greatest either during it. Sounds too Satchy to me.

Another one would be Lovin' Spoonful's Summer In The City. I think Roth would have owned that one.

I would love to hear the original lineup tackle the following:

Bring It On Home - Led Zeppelin
    Soul Kitchen - The Doors
Midnight Rambler - The Rolling Stones

    Dave already did Soul Kitchen.

Indeed, he did. Shows you how familiar I am with his solo work …

How about the original VH covering 20th Century Fox?

Yep, Soul Kitchen, If 6 was 9, and Tomorrow Never Knows (titles ‘That Beatles Tune) were all released on that Diamond Dave album.

I don’t think they’d do Rambler justice...some songs should be left alone and not covered

If I gotta pick a Doors track for VH to cover, it'd be a tossup between LA Woman (mostly 'cause I'd like to hear Eddie's tweak on Robbie's solo in that song), Love Her Madly, or Peace Frog.

    Oooh. A Halenized Peace Frog. That'd be...interesting.

B.I. did a pretty decent cover of LA Woman back in 1990 …
