    Lol.

It's music like that(early 70's AM) that really got me into music on my own. Carpenters, John Denver, Jim Croce, Seals and Croft...

It never really left me, but certainly I wasn't listening to it too heavy during the Decade of Decadence.

It's certainly proven to have legs with me though. Love the 70's channel on Sirius.

There was a horror movie set in '79/80, called "Sweet, sweet lonely girl," that used the
    Bread song, "If," so effectively.

The film is shot in a very late 70's haze, and one girl is on her bed obsessing over
the other girl (who is actually a demon disguised as a beautiful, bohemian chick),
and she puts on her old school walkman, and that song plays.

I havent listened to any of these VH covers yet. I'll have to see if I can get around to it today, I'm curious.

As far as mellower 70s acts, I'm still a huge Gordon Lightfoot fan. "Sundown" is one of the greatest songs ever recorded. I can remember constantly playing a Greatest Hits album of Lightfoot that my Mum had on this big record player cabinet we had. Actually, my folks still have it and it still works. I believe it has an 8 track player in it as well, but I dont think that still works on it.

Lol, ok just listened to Unchained and Eruption. Eruption of course translates very well to classical piano. Very cool.

Unchained sounded like a new wave 80s version, the kind of music that a lot of us reminisce about a lot on here when talking about 80s pop that we grew up with and are nostalgic about. I enjoyed it, and it's just cool to see the far reaching influence that CVH had, and why they are among rock's, and popular music in general, greatest game changing acts. I may just have to get this CD.

Definitely enjoyed listening to all the songs. Listening to their version of ATBL.....with a little hard rocking guitar added to it.... kind of reminded me of what VH would sound like if Patty Smyth became the singer back in the day !!
