Yeah, I guess it was the new model, Urus. Pretty cool car, I must add. I saw 01 a month ago here where I live. I never, ever expected that, but you never know these rich people and their car wishes and stuff. Turbo engine, fast as a shark, really a beauty - one of those cars you can't say you didn't notice it. It shines, really!!!!

The LM 002 is also known as the Rambo Lambo and it came out in the mid 1980s. It wasn't a winner, but it had a cool V-12 (I guess it was the same from the Countach model).

Compare it to similarly-priced rivals like the Jaguar F-Type and Porsche Cayman and there's no comparison on any level straight-line speed and acceleration. And the competition don't care because they know there's more to a sexy, dynamic sports car than just grunt. Plus they have the 'name' and class.
I spent a week driving the current gen Corvette (C7) and it was hands down one of the best handling cars I've ever driven. Actually, the current Vette is bad ass fun and is a great car imo. I'm not a fan of the current styling as it has too many sharp angles and lines on it. Only a 2017 911 Carrera S with 4 wheel steering and a 2015 Cayman GTS that I've driven handle better than the current Vette.

The build quality, fit and finish in the interior is far superior in Jags, Porsches etc. than in American cars. That being said, the interior quality of the Corvette isn't bad imo. I love Porsches; however, they charge way too much money for many options that is standard on most cars, even on Jaguars.

There are lots of guys over on the Porsche forums who can't wait to drive this car, I'm one of them. I have a 2015 Cayman GTS and I'm very interested in the C8 Vette. If Chevy can actually build a quality car, they will sell many, many new gen Corvettes. The price and potential performance is unlike anything else on the market by a large margin.

Competition in the marketplace is a wonderful thing!

If one is looking for the deal of the century. One can find a brand new 2019 Corvette in the low 40's, I've seen 18K off of MSRP.

Was at the Tustin unveil and got to drive a base model on Saturday for a bit. It is a great car. There is not a better a value as it pretty much matches many super car numbers. The build quality improved greatly on the C7 and the trend continued on the C8. The finish is better with without the historical orange peel issue that was rampant till mid c7s, and the base interior is now closer to the old 3lt quality. It is no match for say the Mercedes interiors but it has improved from what was pretty awful in c5, c6 models. The handling is much better and the shorter front really allows to be more aggressive and connected to the road. The rear end and the steering wheel are negatives. Rear end is cost cutting which I hate but the wheel they kind of went for it and I respect that but it was a miss for me. It is good for a track functionally but of no benefit around town and ugly. There will be a right hand drive version as they intend to be aggressive in Europe as this is the first car they feel will sell there. The exhaust note was good for factory but I would put a Corsa exchange pipe in it and pull the factory. Way better sound plus pick up a few horses. Speaking of which this is by far the fastest and quickest base vette and it is immediately noticeable.

Someone mentioned Vettes driving soft and sloppy. Relative an M series yes the c6, c7 were much softer but especially in c7 not many sold had that most ordered w z51 or magnetic ride. The base is a touring not a sport suspension. This is the first base suspension I'd say was track worthy but I would still go with the magnetic ride. It will hold itself well against even the Mseries suspension although have the ability to be friendlier. That said I still prefer the M suspension but the gap is minimal now compared to c6 and earlier days. I hated the c5 and c6, c7 was more aggressive and I think the c8 is really in a different league, they went for it. I think they will have issues early in production with cooling the car and electrical plus they are too confident their dealers will be able to service. Typically about 30-60% of parts carry over but on the c8 only a single cosmetic interior part carries over, it is all new. The wire harness is entirely new tech they engineered just for this car, it will have gremlins for a bit as all new harness do. Overall, I think it far exceed my expectations except the camaro rear end has to go. Rather they carried the rear quarter line down more and made a c2 like rear end that would accentuate the curve and you know not be a fucking camaro which is a fine car but not what you want your corvette to look like. GM guys acknowledge engineering and cost won out. They did early on even play with a split window concept but it got very quickly nixed. Part of the trade off I guess as it is designed to compete with $200k cars.

In 2021 it is said the Zora model Vette will come out at a $160K and will be a hybrid with total HP of 1,100. So far in testing it is still bending the frame of the cars so hence the delay. My daily driver is 721 HP and scares people who drive it for the first time. I can not imagine 1,100HP. There will be a lot of accidents with that
