The feedback in fools is legendary but take your whiskey is just a barn burner.

My version is better, so I've changed it. Dave agrees. I'm hereby notifying you officially of the change!

Whiskey or Fools would be great deep cuts to play if VH decides to tour.

Doesnt have to. It flows. Fools is a top 15 VH tune for me, so I'll stick with what Dave wrote, and the band recorded for WACF.

Too late I've changed the lyrics! Next time you hear it, I'm sure it'll sound like "they make the rules" for you as well!

God damn, this is a tough fucking call.

But Eddies gut punching groove at the end of Fools gets me every time. The palm scratching over dub during the ride out of the tune is just fucking brilliant. Another example of Eddies absolute rhythm genius.

Listen to Ed's quivering note, right before Dave goes: Ahhhh, ha ha ha!

    How does he do that?

I played "Fools" today, and listen to his chords, when he pulls the volume back up,
    after the Ed/Dave intro.

I'm sorry, but all his Wolfgangs & EVH amps, DO NOT match what he got with that
Marshall Plexi & homemade guitar & Destroyer.

He had the most organic, HUGE, human like tone, i've ever heard.

And that unaccompanied solo at the top, he never let's up.
He's playing so fast & aggressively, but he's still manipulating the tones
with random palm mutes and altering his pick attack.

But he's doing this, while his left hand is blazing.
Graver, Walking Ed, refugee from CVH & proud tone chaser...

Lol, sorry, but it's never even remotely sounded like that to me. It wasnt until we had a debate on here a few months ago that I ever knew anyone actually thought it was "makes the rules". That is just a head scratcher.

WACF is the greatest guitar tone ever and that intro is just simply another example of why Ed is the best.
