The vocal harmonies before the solo during "In a Simple Rhyme". Very few bands had that kind of ability.

For me it will always be the intro to Runnin' with the Devil, nearly forty years since I first played it and it still sends shivers down my spine.I loved it then and I still love it.

There are many things to like but the first thing I thought of was the breakdowns.

Intro to EWS with the massive thundering jungle drums, Dave making chimpanzee squeals and the Tarzan yell, and Ed coming in with all the whistles and weird guitar sounds.

You mean the drum solo? THAT is a cool thing, hands downs. I also dig Alex doing that simple, yet effective hit on the bell of his ride cymbal on Outta Love Again just like the 'bees' intro that EVH recorded.

I love all the instrumental stuff the band released. The acoustic tunes from EVH (Spanish Fly and the smoke thing), the crazy technique he brought to the music scenario and never stopped since 1978.

The bass & drum intro to Push Comes to Shove. Then the reggae guitar parts that follows. And its guitar solo, of course.

There are some backing vocals that only The Mighty One could come with. Again, OLA speaks so loud to me in 02 specific moments - the 'Outta Love ... ' and the 'didn't you' words here - Oh, lovin' and a livin' and a treat me like a fool (Didn't you, didn't you?). And you see that this is just a simple example of how cool they used to be.

You guys already had brought lots of funny lines that Dave wrote. He was/is clever and always wrote some great lyrics.
TT: "Wow, you can play acoustic guitar?"
    EVH: "Sure. What's the difference? It's got six strings... It's a guitar!" - 31.12.1978

    A few outros for me

The ending of Girl Gone Bad
The outro chorus to When its Love. I know people always give credit to Mike (rightfully so) but its Eddie's part that for me fills it out.
The outro to Me Wise Magic where you have the chorus, drums and even sustainer fitting so well. What could have been.....
Sammy's scream at the end of 5150

The weird riff at the end of FITH should be made into a song.

I was referring specifically to the breakdown from 1:42 to 2:01 …

"It's so lonely at the top because it's so crowded at the bottom" - Diamond David Lee Roth

"The truth sounds like hate to those who hate the truth" - Todd Wagner

    Geez, so many WOW moments:

    - the solo for Ice Cream Man
    - the breakdown in Light Up the Sky (the part where Dave's singing "oooo mama etc."), that little rhythm riff by Ed in the background is amazing.
    - Dave's scream after the solo in On Fire
    - when the band kicks in on Stay Frosty
    - the entirety of Hot for Teacher
    - the pre solo rap by Dave and then corresponding ripping solo by Ed on Blood and Fire
    - the second solo in Dreams
    - Dave's staccato, swinging verbiage during Beautiful Girls "snappy little mammy gonna keep her pappy happy, etc."

I could go on all day. There's a reason why VH is my favorite band.
CNN may think my opinion matters, but you shouldn't.

I love the main riff in A.F.U. (Naturally Wired) that is a variation of Jimmy Page's main riff in Rock and Roll.

So many things about the song 5150. The lyrics, the harmonies, Sam's vocals, the solo (either the album version or the lWAN version), Al's drumming is nuts. I just love that song.

Love almost everything about Mine All Mine, I loved that song the first time I heard it.

Everything about "Could This Be Magic". I think that song is BRILLIANT for what it is same with IASR.

solo on HOP. solo on Feelin'. Sam doubling Ed's guitar during the start of the AFU solo, Al's drumming on AFU....really everything about that song.

Mike's baseline during parts of Aftershock, it sounds like he's playing a counter melody to Ed (to me) at times and I think it's cool as hell. Intro and acoustic parts of TMB.

The entire bands performance on One Way To Rock from LWAN.

the intro to LUTS...really the whole song.

Ed's tone on "Sinners Swing" and the backing vocals (and now we're wasting time), Dave sounds great on that.

    there's a ton more...
