Default Feel Your Love Tonight vs On Fire

Which of these killer tunes from side two of the greatest ever debut do you prefer and why?

Feel Your Love Tonight, for me. Always loved the riffs and vocal harmonies. + Eddie's solo and fills. Lots of humor.

On Fire has a lot of, well firepower, yet I honestly don't care for the chorus too much. Great solo and again some super riffs and fills.

I've played/approximated both tunes on guitar. Fun stuff.

Ugh, Coulda. My top 2 tunes from the debut. Sooooo close, but I gotta go with On Firrrre!!!

Such a heavy tune, with some of Dave's best screams, and he already owns the greatest screams ever.

But both tunes are easily top 20 all timers for me.

FYLT, because of the great harmonies, the upbeat vibe of the tune, and the band hitting on all cylinders. Ed’s guitar playing and solo in this never ceases to amaze me. All in all, an easy top 5 or 10 VH tune for me.

Some of Al's best drumming on the album is on both tunes, and the solo in FYLT is my favorite on the album by Ed.

At the 1984 show and Mike screaming “ON FIRE” and Eddie slamming those harmonic breaks and Roth just flying around is burned in my skull .

    So much energy.

    On Fire hands down.

FYLT is a great tune but you can’t top the left hook of On Fire. It sent the message that rock’s new 800 lb gorilla had arrived.
"He has a swaggering retro machismo that will give hives to the Steinem cabal" -Camille Paglia on Donald Trump

"But, fucking with Brook is like fucking with hot shit on and ax handle. You just don't get a grip"-track5

"Make way for the bad guy"- Tony Montana

'This hamburger don't need no helper"- David Lee Roth

"I wish Bon Jovi would've given me a call before he recorded all of his hits, because the lyrics would've been smarter, the melodies would've been much more smashing, and they would've sold a lot fewer records." -David Lee Roth

"My beef is people thinking Bon Jovi is good cuz they sold lots of records to housewives." -tango

"But being number one doesn’t really mean jack fuck all. We sold twice as many records as other records that year (1984) that landed in the Number One position." ~Eddie Van Halen

    FYLT.

But "On Fire" is a jaw dropping tune.
    Love those dead harmonics, too.

This is almost a draw, for me. Two classics. Everyone kills it...on both, but I give "On Fire" the edge. It's just a big ball of energy. A great opener, too.

    Both are bad ass tunes.

But I'll go with the B-side of ATBL as a single.
