5150 is a great example of a band making a cool song on record sound amazing live with their LWAN rendition.

No, they weren't just like the albums.

I've said before I like all the LWAN versions better than the studio cuts of the 5150 material.

But I do think as the progressed with Sam they got a little less adventurous and were truer to the albums.
The only genre I really know is Van Halen.

I agree Show, as time passed so did a lot of the spontaneity.

Someone mentioned Bon Jovi earlier in the thread. Go to YouTube and search "Bon Jovi live 2019". It's stunning and fascinating how bad his voice is now and yet almost no one discusses it. I think some of you will appreciate Dave a little more after listening to a few minutes of that nonsense. Hell, he makes Paul Stanley sound like Elvis...

I mentioned it. I'm sure it's discussed on Bon Jovi forums. Singers get old and their voices go. It's pretty standard stuff. I'm sure on KISS forums Paul's voice is the talk too. If Dave sounded like he did in 1982 that means we're listening to a recording, not a live voice.
