Drop Dead Legs. It gets overshadowed on Van Halen's biggest album by Jump, Panama, I'll Wait and Hot For Teacher.

I agree with Jape in that none of them are deep cuts to us.

Having said that I'd go with ITO or GGB.
The only genre I really know is Van Halen.

For Dave, it’s a tossup between OF, Fools, PCTS, Secrets, and Top Jimmy.

For Sam, it’s gotta be Crossing Over and HB, I’d think.
HB ain't no deep-cut. You don't know shit about Van Halen OR music! (smiley-face emoji)

I'm thinking the deepest cut should come from the dark horse album that sold the least well.....I'm thinking Side A....I'm thinking Sinner's Swing!

HAIL is not one their big songs outside VH fandom so that would be mine. If too popular to qualify as deep cut, then a Simple Rhyme

See, I don't qualify HAIL or IASR as deep cuts for the diehard fanbase, they should be among folks' top tracks. They're my two favorite VH tracks of all time, so...it's hard for me to imagine a VH fan that hasn't listened to them a lot.

Bottoms Up is a good choice for quintessential VH that isn't roundly recognized as such. So is Top Jimmy and PCTS.

Hear About It Later and In Simple Rhyme are perhaps the two most majestic songs in the VH catalog.

"The truth sounds like hate to those who hate the truth" - Todd Wagner
