OU812 smokes For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge. The former is the Sam era's most versatile album while the latter has way too much filler. Spanked, Pleasure Dome, In 'N' Out, Man On A Mission and Right Now just don't do it for me.

The correct answer is that both albums are near perfect, and smoke WACF and DD.

Laughter and music are the best medicine!
I do prefer those two albums to the prior ones, like my post showed.

It would be a trip to hear certain songs etc with the ears and experiences of others...

With all due respect, I don't think there is a single track on OU812 or For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge that is worthy to scratch the balls of Everybody Wants Some!!, Romeo Delight or In A Simple Rhyme.

I used to really like FUCK, but itís faded on me over time to the extent thereís only 4 or 5 songs that are still strong to me
But OU812 has really held up for me over the years, the first 4 songs rip, Iíd like to drop FSG, but itís a nice interlude to do something else for a couple minutes, and the rest blazes and then just a cool bluesy outro, yes I even dig AA
FWYS really stands out for me on this album as itís so anti Van Halen done with a VH twist itís second only to MAM

Totally agree. LOVED the FUCK album when it came out, but over the years I listen to OU812 far more often.

If they are near perfect, then Rosie O'Donnell is Playmate of the Year 2019.
If I don't respond to you it means I have you on ignore, which means you are a douchenozzle.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

You don't think there are, whereas my ears know there are... Different opinions, and all cool. I'd bet that Eddie and Alex themselves would agree with me.

Man you guys with the cold start Sam v Dave

How about this, if Eddie thinks those songs from Fuck or OU812 are so great, how come he never plays them

And if EWS and RD were the anthems whoís balls couldnít be licked, why were they absent from being played for 15 years

My God this debate is so stupid

Itís two different band with two different styles that each were great in their own right. Some prefer one over the other and so what?

This constant need to slag one while praising the other amounts to taking sides in a political debate, itís stupid and mostly done by the weak minded and easily lead

It's funny, I really can't stand EVH's ballads for the most part, but I do dig FSG, always have. I like Ed's rhythm work in it, plus the solo is straight up.

    APB is awesome.
