LOL. Yeah, the iconic pattern a quilt...that would be cool. Surprised they haven't yet.
They can't sell that one though...that's navy blue.

Just sad. Out of all the great bands in history, Floyd, Zeppelin, Stones, Metallica, any top twenty, historic, band you can think of.
VH is the only that decided releasing old music and videos would be a bad idea. At this point in your career it's the number one thing you do.
In all fairness, Zeppelin was particularly stingy for years about releasing any old video footage. The career-spanning DVD didn't come out until 23 years after they officially called it quits. Until then we were stuck with the abomination of The Song Remains the Same, and a few snippets of quality visuals synced with different music to accompany the box set in 1990.

It was the same for all those bands. But they, eventually, got the hint.
The past ten years have been ideal for VH to do something.
Thirty years after a bands formation, I think they can start releasing some vault stuff.

That's weird... literally every person I've ever known that's an Allman Brothers fan hates VH. They're more into smoking weed and going fishing.

    Nick,

You're mistaken in your assessment of fans of the Allman Brothers Band. Many an Allman Brothers fan loves their Van Halen too. Obviously two VERY different bands but there are also some similarities.

For instance, both bands were comprised of incredibly gifted musicians and both bands created their own unique sound and style. NO ONE sounds like the ABB in their prime and NO ONE sounds like Van Halen in their prime.

Both created their unique sound and styles by taking the varied influences of their members and molding them into something unique.

Also, both bands featured a young gun guitar slinger who had created their own very unique styles. Duane Allman's slide guitar style was unheard of at the time as was Ed's style of playing. They also both were very young when they hit it big. In the case of Duane, he was dead at the age of 23 after basically about four years of studio work and huge success with the ABB. Fortunately Ed's still with us....

All these things I suspect create fondness, admiration, and respect for many fans who love both bands respectfully.

That said, there certainly are many ABB fans who consider Van Halen rubbish just as there are certainly Van Halen fans who only know the ABB from tunes like "Rambling Man" and "Melissa." Which barely scratches the surface of the ABB catalog......Sort of like thinking Van Halen is only "Jump" and "When It's Love."
"People say Cream gave birth to Heavy Metal," says Baker. "If that's so, we should have had an abortion."

I think the obvious similarity between Van Halen and the Allman Brothers was that both bands were composed of two brothers, one of which played guitar, and the band name was their last name.

I've got the "Old No. 7" version of this show from BTB. I think it looks as good as this YouTube clip. I think?

Speaking of the Allman Brothers Band, this youtube video of Van Halen's "Loss of Control" was posted in a thread over at their website (Allmanbrothersband.com) earlier today. I've never seen this "official" video release
