I just put up "Over the Hills and Far Away" and "Whole Lotta Love" for those that may be interested. Links to them are in the first post.

So I'm continuing my Zeppelin covers because they're fun to play. I actually fixed the mixing on some of the old ones, but I'm too lazy to upload them again to Soundcloud. But I did put some new ones up on my server.

What Is And What Should Never Be
    Bring It On Home
    Immigrant Song
Ten Years Gone - This song took FOREVER to do, it has the most guitar tracks I've ever recorded. With all the doubled guitars and harmony parts, it was like 13 tracks!!

Links are in the first post.

Wow! I know there's a lot of parts but I woulda never guessed 13. Some serious patience there, Brett. I might have aborted that mission.

    Default My Led Zeppelin Covers!

Well the way I did it they were 13. Haha. Took me like a week to get them all right.

    Track 1 - Intro/verse guitar
    Track 2 - Left chorus
    Track 3 - Right chorus
    Track 4 - Main solo
Track 5 - Bridge distorted guitar
Track 6 - Bridge clean guitar
Track 7 - Left bridge lead
Track 8 - Right bridge lead
Track 9 - Left outro lead
Track 10 - Right outro lead
Track 11 - Doubled right chorus (right before last verse to beef it up)
Track 12 - Second outro lead
Track 13 - Harmony outro lead (off the second lead)

I probably could have combined some of them but they all seem to have little different effects on them, so I kind of think this is what Jimmy did. Or at least along the same lines.

Wow! Thatís impressive! Iím such a novice at recording, most Iíve ever done is a couple of guitar over dubs over the main guitar parts.

Just listened to the new batch. Totally excellent, Brett!
Ten Years Gone is pretty epic. You killed that one. Every part was great. Loved the solo. Doubling the chorus was the perfect spice.
Loved, "What is" as well. Perfect sounds. I don't think it could get any better.

Hats off to the singer. Man, he was amazing on Bring it On Home. That intro was so good. He's got that down. Killed it on Immigrant Song, too.

Too kind my friend thanks! Iím not a very good slide player, so I found it fun to work that out on What Is And What Should Never Be. Actually kind of proud of how the solo came out.

The singing on most of these Zep backing tracks is pretty solid. Thatís why I keep doing their songs.

Iím working on Houses of the Holy right now.

Yeah I only use backing tracks that donít have guitar parts. Obviously that limits the songs I can do, but I only want my guitars on them. I find more fun in the mixing part of getting them to sound good than I do recording them. But Iím pretty diligent to make sure theyíre very tight when I record them. Thatís a lot of the battle right there.

Thereís not much to doing a lot of tracks. Just takes a lot more time to record.

LOL. Besides sliding a lighter across I've never even played slide before. I think you did really well with that.
Look forward to "Houses"....love that tune.

Okay, just listened to ten years gone and that was badass!

Pretty close to sounding like the actual recording which is impressive!
The only genre I really know is Van Halen.

Thanks man I spent a lot of time on it. The recording wasnít hard it just took a while, it was more about the mixing and getting the effects right. Iíve never had to try to mix that many guitar tracks together.
