Thats not songwriting, thats publishing. Songwriting is writing the song which for half of ADKOT was done 35years ago (assuming thats what you meant) and yes this latest Sammy song is very lazy songwriting compared to that (or most songs).

I don't think Sam or most artists at that point in their career are willing to bleed over a song, to spend hour after hour, week after week perfecting it. It's good, not great, and I was only expecting good to be begin with.

I gotta admit, this third song was really good.

Hated "Trust fund" and the other tune just sounded generic, but this one has a good
hook and a cool "made for 80's radio" vibe.

I think this should have been the lead-off single.

Definitely, the better of the three. Just not digging it, though.

Tons of songs I liked the first time I heard them. Pretty much the entire six pack.
Beatles, Stones, Who....I could go on forever.

It's the first really solid tune thus far.

"Trust Fund" was a horrible rewrite i've, "I've got the fire."

This new tune sounds like a good, 80's Sammy tune.

Funny you mention Welcome to the Jungle. My first introduction to them was that video back when MTV ruled rock music. Hated them and that song initially with a passion. Actually, better stated the video made me bust out laughing. Guns and Bozos immediately came to mind. Took a while.

Your point is good as to bands/singers youíre not not familiar with but not sure I agree as ones you have some familiarity with. Def Leopard (High and Dry album) was immediately good for a band I never heard of. Certainly Van Halen 1 also comes to mind. There are others...

The number is almost impossible to come up with. Thousands.

Yeah there are thousands of songs I have listened to that upon first listen was "man that is good" Then immediately play it over and over. This isn't one of them and its fine. Its just an average song by an artist who probably has seen the best days of his career. Nothing to be ashamed of that. Most people do not peak at 70. Its a decent tune but I don't think many people in a year will be playing it. I mean if you are a Sammy or Mike fan and you are looking at your CD case, are you likely to put this on or something from VH or CF? Most likely the latter.

I really like this one! Love the lyrics, good positive song about finding peace beyond understanding, the stillness within, waking up, being light, putting your attention on the good, on the right, not judging, loving others, and letting go of hate. Right on!

    And the music is catchy!
