Maybe Wolf’s tour will be promoted by the Food Network? He can film an episode with their chefs on the road. Next week Wolf will rock Atlantic City and dine with Bobby Flay sampling his Salmon with Brown Sugar and Mustard Glaze. Ha-Ha!

I would like to have seen a more rock star food (and beverage) selection. These selections sound more like a send-away dinner for a jazz trio or orchestra ensemble.

Is it me, or does Wolf seem like the ultimate mama's boy & a wee bit coddled?

Take out an Ad in Decibel or Guitar World, not your mom's network.

Italian mom. Mama's boys are pretty common. Yes I am one.

In all fairness to him, if they know the album is coming out on a certain day you'll take any free publicity you can get.

    Season 9, Episode 5
    Celebrating Wolf's First Solo Album
Valerie Bertinelli's son, Wolf, is hitting the road to promote his first solo album, so she's celebrating him with friends, family and his favorite home-cooked meal. The menu includes Cedar Plank Salmon, Sauteed Spinach, Mini Crab Cake Appetizers and Horseradish Whipped Mashed Potatoes. For dessert, everyone enjoys slices of Vanilla Cake with Vanilla Swiss Buttercream.

I am sorry, but I can't help but see this as a snub that Wolf is showing Van Halen fans. There's no logical reason why he didn't approach us first, which could speak to the distaste that he has toward us.

Moreover, let the music speak for itself; why the need to use artificial means for promoting his work?

It does seem a bit strange, but the whole thing has been strange for years:
From his solo album to the current state of VH.

Def a very close family, which is great, but it seems to effect their professional judgement where
their actual careers & the band is concerned.

I am Italian on both sides, and as Mike stated, the relationship that some Italian boys have with/to their Mom's is a little unusual (by non-Italian standards).

Either way...let the music stand on it's own; do what Sammy did; drop a song or two on youtube, and then work it that way.

But no; total silence, with Wolf's Ma being the silence breaker - at a time when Van Halen fans are starved for info - especially after the failed reunion/tour.

Wolf is not stupid; this is a passive aggressive snub towards Van Halen fans.

Maybe, but it only makes him look a bit silly:

Oh yeah, i'll show 'em....I'm gonna drop this via my mom on the Food Network.

The dudes gotta cut the strings, and "get in the van" as Rollins once said.
Call Albert at Decibel, do a phoner.
    Use those Guitar World connections.
    Youtube is your friend.

Make a self deprecating joke about the length of time it took, and aim towards
the Wolf/VH fans on social media.

I don't see it as a lapse in professional judgement, as much as I see it as a smattering of contempt towards Van Halen fans.

The easiest place for Wolf to promote his work, would be to start with his Dad's & Uncle's fanbase. If most of us have shown support for his project, and if many of us have said that we will support his work ($$$), why not start here?

Wolf's not stupid; that he continually pursues courses of action which do nothing but alienate his potential fan base, could be construed as a yardstick for the depth of contempt that he has toward Van Halen fans.
