Well, to be fair, I dunno that I was ever into the half naked leather chaps leg warmers fuzzy boa wardrobe either, but again, I really don't fucking care what my fave rockstars wear or how they look. As long as they're rawking the tunes, they can be old, young, pale, tan, wearing S&M gear or clear plastic raincoats with slabs of prime rib stapled to their heads. Just play the goddamn music.

Something we can agree on. Dave could be sucking every dick from here to Panama and I wouldn't care. Just get into a studio and record some tunes while you are at it.
If I don't respond to you it means I have you on ignore, which means you are a douchenozzle.

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

    Word.

A studio 4 song EP for the remaining diehard fanbase would be nice at this point.

Everything Dave said and wore with Classic Van Halen just screamed Van Halen. It all worked for me. All of it. Nothing he does outside of Van Halen works for me. He(they) set a bar that he as a solo artist couldn’t reach. Nor could Sam with Van Halen.

Exactly. We know for a fact they have songs in demo form laying around from the 2000 sessions onward.

We also sometimes forget (and I include myself in this) the time frame in which Dave was doing it. We look at it through the current trend of rock stars trying to out Man in Black Johnny Cash in their stage attire. The 70's and 80's were anything but that.

I think one of the best things Dave has done outside of Van Halen was in the worst thing he’s ever done outside of Van Halen lol. The acoustic version of Mean Street in the No Holds BBQ.

But yes, VH has always been a colorful band. Guitars, clothes, videos, stages, merch. Sam and Dave know how to paint a palette.

    Secrets
    Big Bad Bill
    Apolitical Blues
    You and Your Blues

    Judgment Day
    Mean Street
    Girl Gone Bad
    Good Enough
    Romeo Delight

    Something like that.
That's a pretty good idea for a poll. You should set it up.

The 70's and 80's were great decades to come of age. Sigh ...

And they have 15 more FINISHED demos from the ADKOT sessions.

Just dumb not to release them to even the diehard fan base.

What is their excuse for not releasing them? Laziness? Indifference? Spite?

Supposedly they wanted to do a double album and DLR talked them out of it. I bet if DLR knew that was going to be the one and only time he could get them in a studio, he would have said "fuck yeah, fire it up."
